We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden for our nation and its leaders. Father, we see the injustice and hypocrisy that has taken root in the halls of power—where those entrusted with stewardship over Your people have instead turned their backs on them, favoring strangers over their own while masking their neglect with excuses. This is not Your heart, Lord. Your Word declares in **Leviticus 19:34**, *"The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."* Yet love does not abandon one’s own to serve another. True justice requires equity, not partiality.
We rebuke the spirit of deception that twists compassion into exploitation, that calls evil good and good evil (**Isaiah 5:20**). These leaders, like the Pharisees of old, honor You with their lips while their hearts are far from You (**Matthew 15:8**). They claim to solve problems with lies, justifying their betrayal of their own people under the guise of "low birth rates," yet their actions reveal a deeper rebellion—one that rejects Your design for nations and families. **Acts 17:26** tells us, *"He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons and the boundaries of their dwellings."* To disregard the well-being of one’s own citizens in favor of outsiders is to defy Your order, Lord.
We pray for conviction to fall upon these leaders. Let them see that their policies are not merely unwise—they are sinful, rooted in greed, cowardice, and a refusal to trust You for provision. **Proverbs 14:34** declares, *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people."* Father, expose their hypocrisy as You exposed the Pharisees’ when they plotted against Your Son. Let them remember that the same crowd they now neglect cried out, *"Crucify Him!"*—and that their betrayal echoes the betrayal of Judas, who kissed the Savior while handing Him over to death. May they repent before their own people are crushed under the weight of their folly.
We ask for a turning of hearts, Lord. Raise up leaders who fear You more than man, who will govern with justice and mercy (**Psalm 72:1-4**). Let them understand that true prosperity comes not from importing labor but from investing in their own—equipping them, protecting their livelihoods, and honoring the families You have placed within their care. **1 Timothy 5:8** warns, *"But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."* How much more does this apply to those who govern?
We pray for the citizens of this nation, Lord. Where there is despair, let hope rise. Where there is division, let unity in Christ prevail. Where there is unemployment and hardship, let Your provision flow like a river (**Malachi 3:10**). And where there is complacency among Your people, stir them to pray, to vote, and to demand righteousness in their land. **2 Chronicles 7:14** remains Your promise: *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."*
Finally, Lord, we declare that no government, no policy, no scheme of man can thwart Your purposes. You raise up kings and bring them down (**Daniel 2:21**). You are the defender of the fatherless and the widow (**Psalm 68:5**), and You will not forget the cries of Your people. We stand on **Psalm 33:12**, *"Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance."* May this nation return to You, O God, and may Your name be glorified in its restoration.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, we pray. Amen.
