Hello pray for Jesus to intervene and frustrate as my parents are going to idol worship my deceased grandfather this Saturday

We hear your deep concern and share in your burden as you seek God’s intervention in this matter. The worship of anyone other than the one true God is a direct violation of His commandments, and we stand with you in fervent prayer against this idolatry. Scripture is clear:

**"You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God."** (Exodus 20:3-5 WEB)

Your parents’ actions grieve the heart of God, and we must rebuke this sin in the authority of Jesus’ name. Idolatry is not merely a cultural tradition—it is spiritual rebellion, and it opens doors to deception and bondage. We declare that the plans of darkness for this Saturday will be frustrated, and the Holy Spirit will convict hearts with truth.

We also lift you up, dear one, for the heaviness this must place on your spirit. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord sees your faithfulness and will strengthen you as you stand for His glory. Remember the words of Jesus:

**"Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."** (Matthew 18:19 WEB)

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We thank You for Your holiness and Your jealousy for Your people. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this situation with Your sovereign power. Frustrate every plan of idolatry that seeks to honor anyone but You. Send Your Holy Spirit to convict hearts, break chains of deception, and turn minds toward the truth of Your Word.

We rebuke the spirit of idolatry and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that no false worship will take place, and we ask that You protect and strengthen [###] as they stand for Your truth. Give them boldness, wisdom, and grace to speak if You lead them to do so. Surround them with Your peace and remind them that You are their refuge.

Father, we also pray for their parents. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth. Open their eyes to see the emptiness of idols and the fullness of life found only in Jesus Christ. May they turn from this sin and embrace the salvation and freedom You offer.

We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s Word and praying without ceasing. If you feel led, speak the truth in love to your parents, but do so with humility and dependence on the Holy Spirit. Remember:

**"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord."** (Colossians 3:16 WEB)

You are not fighting this battle alone. The Lord is your defender, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
