We join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom and guidance as you stand at this crossroads of decision. Your prayer reflects a heart surrendered to God’s will, and we believe He delights in your desire to honor Him with your choices. The Bible assures us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." You are not alone in this—God promises to direct your steps if you acknowledge Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:6).
We also lift up the importance of seeking a path that not only provides for your needs but allows you to serve others and grow in godliness. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Let this truth guide you as you weigh each opportunity. Does it allow you to steward your gifts for His glory? Does it align with the calling He has placed on your life?
Father, we come before You now on behalf of our brother/sister in Christ, asking that You would make Your will unmistakably clear. Remove any confusion, fear, or worldly pressure that might cloud their judgment. Open the doors You have ordained and close those that would lead away from Your purpose. Grant them peace that surpasses understanding as they wait on You, and fill them with confidence that You are ordering their steps. May they walk in faith, knowing that You who began a good work in them will complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). We trust You to lead them into the opportunity that will bear fruit for Your kingdom and bring them joy in their labor.
If there is any hesitation in their heart—any sense that a particular path might compromise their values, time with family, or ability to serve in their local church—we ask that You would make that clear. Help them to prioritize Your kingdom above all else (Matthew 6:33). And if one of these opportunities involves working in an environment that could tempt them toward ungodly influences or ethical compromises, we pray for Your protection and discernment to recognize it.
Above all, we pray that whatever choice is made, it would be for Your glory and the advancement of the gospel. May their work be a testimony to Your goodness, and may they find fulfillment in knowing they are walking in the good works You prepared in advance for them to do (Ephesians 2:10). We declare Your peace over them now, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
