Pray for this

Faithful Servant
Prayer for my parents who don't believe in Jesus and is using worldly methods as she just believes in herself and not Jesus Christ and kept forcing me to keep finding a job which I have been finding, but the current market is very unpredictable and also she doesn't believe that Jesus could provide. Pray that Jesus Christ can ask her to not worry and just enjoy life and stop asking when I can get a job and the money is running out. These are the stresses that I have been having lately even I went to a Christian network group to socialize, the first thing she came back is that the Christian network group is helpful in finding jobs. As she relies too much on herself and now is adding stress to me which I believe it was the tool of the enemy that keeps her in the trap of not believing in Christianity in the first place and now she is trying to use her way to influence me. Pray for her to stop spreading negativity and just trust in Jesus rather than blame Jesus and me for not getting the agenda she wanted. And I am a male, not a female.

We lift you and your parents up in prayer, knowing the deep burden you carry for their salvation and the stress you are enduring. It is clear that your mother’s unbelief and reliance on herself rather than Christ is a source of great struggle for you, and we want to remind you that this is not a battle fought in human strength but in the power of the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Your mother is trapped in the enemy’s lies, and only the truth of Jesus Christ can set her free.

We also notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in Acts 4:12, we are told, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne, and it is in His name alone that we pray with authority. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Christ for salvation, we urge you to do so now, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for the forgiveness of your sins. If you have already done this, then we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him that our prayers are heard.

Now, let us address the heart of your request. Your mother’s unbelief and her pressure on you are not just personal struggles—they are spiritual battles. She is placing her trust in her own efforts and in worldly solutions rather than in the sovereignty of God. This is a form of idolatry, for she is making her own understanding and strength her god instead of submitting to the Lordship of Christ. Proverbs 3:5-6 commands us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your mother’s refusal to trust in God’s provision is a rebellion against His Word, and it is causing harm not only to her own soul but also to you through the stress she is placing on you.

We must also address the fact that your mother’s behavior is not just a lack of faith—it is actively opposing the work of God in your life. By constantly pressuring you and dismissing the power of Christ to provide, she is aligning herself with the enemy’s tactics to create doubt, fear, and division. This is not love; it is control rooted in unbelief. Jesus warns us in Matthew 12:30, *"He who is not with me is against me, and he who doesn’t gather with me, scatters."* Your mother’s actions are scattering rather than gathering, and this must be rebuked in the name of Jesus. We do not hate her, but we must stand firmly against the spiritual forces at work in her life.

As for your job search, we understand the frustration and anxiety that comes with financial uncertainty, especially in an unpredictable market. But we remind you of Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:31-33: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus must remain on seeking God’s Kingdom first, trusting that He will provide for your needs. Your mother’s fear is contagious, but you must resist it by clinging to the promises of God. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*

We also encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Are you allowing your mother’s unbelief to shake your faith? Are you becoming bitter or resentful toward her? Ephesians 4:31-32 tells us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* You must forgive your mother, even as you pray for her salvation. Her behavior is a result of her spiritual blindness, and it is not your responsibility to fix her—only God can do that. Your role is to love her, pray for her, and trust God to work in her heart.

Now, let us pray together for you and your parents:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother and his parents. Lord, we ask that You open the eyes of his mother’s heart to see the truth of Your Word. Convict her of her unbelief and her reliance on herself rather than on You. Break the stronghold of pride and self-sufficiency in her life, and draw her to repentance. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear, control, and unbelief that is operating in her, and we command it to flee in the name of Jesus. Replace it with Your peace, Your faith, and Your love.

Lord, we also pray for our brother’s father, that You would soften his heart to receive the gospel. May both of his parents come to know You as their Lord and Savior. We ask that You surround them with believers who will speak Your truth into their lives and that You would remove any obstacles preventing them from seeing Your love.

Father, we lift up our brother’s job search to You. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. We ask that You open the right doors for him in Your perfect timing. Give him wisdom, favor, and opportunities that align with Your will. Help him to trust in You completely, knowing that You hold his future. Protect his heart from anxiety and fear, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray for unity and healing in this family. Remove the strife and tension caused by unbelief, and replace it with Your love and harmony. Help our brother to forgive his mother and to respond to her with kindness and patience, even as he stands firm in his faith. Give him the words to speak that will glorify You and point his parents to Christ.

Finally, Father, we ask that You strengthen our brother’s faith during this trial. Help him to keep his eyes fixed on You and not on the circumstances around him. Remind him that You are his Provider, his Protector, and his Peace. May he walk in victory, knowing that greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world.

We pray all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Brother, we want to encourage you to keep standing firm in your faith, even when it feels like the pressure is overwhelming. Remember that your struggle is not against your mother but against the spiritual forces at work in her life. Continue to love her, pray for her, and trust God to move in her heart. Do not allow her unbelief to become a stumbling block for you. Instead, let it drive you deeper into your relationship with Christ.

We also encourage you to seek out a strong, Bible-believing church where you can find support and discipleship. Surround yourself with believers who will uplift you in prayer and speak God’s Word into your life. If you are not already in a small group or accountability partnership, consider joining one. You do not have to walk this path alone.

Lastly, we leave you with the words of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Cling to this promise, and trust that God is working all things together for your good and His glory. Stay steadfast, and may the Lord bless you and keep you in His perfect peace.
