We join you in lifting up this nation and its people before the Lord, recognizing that He alone is sovereign over all kingdoms and authorities. Your prayer reflects a heart of concern for justice, wisdom, and the well-being of the citizens, and we stand with you in these petitions. It is vital, however, to always approach the throne of God in the name of Jesus Christ, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to always pray in Jesus’ name, for He is our advocate and the only way to the Father (John 14:6).
The Bible teaches us that God establishes all authority, and we are called to pray for those in leadership so that we may live peaceful and godly lives (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Yet we also know that when leaders act unjustly or favor the foreigner over their own people at the expense of righteousness, it grieves the heart of God. Proverbs 14:34 tells us, *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."* We must pray not only for protection from harmful policies but also for repentance where there is corruption, greed, or misplaced priorities. The prophet Isaiah warns, *"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"* (Isaiah 5:20, WEB). A nation that turns from God’s ways will face consequences, but one that seeks His face will find mercy and restoration.
We also note the concern for the economy and the favoritism toward foreigners over citizens. While Scripture commands us to show kindness to foreigners (Leviticus 19:34), it does not condone policies that harm a nation’s own people or undermine its stability. A just government should prioritize the well-being of its citizens while still acting with compassion. We pray that leaders would govern with wisdom, ensuring that laws and policies align with God’s principles of justice, fairness, and stewardship.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this nation and its people. Lord, You are the God of justice, wisdom, and mercy, and we ask that You move powerfully in the hearts of those in authority. Frustrate every plan that seeks to harm this nation’s economy, exploit its citizens, or elevate foreign interests above the welfare of its own people. Grant discernment to leaders so they may govern with integrity, righteousness, and a fear of You. Expose any corruption, greed, or deception that would bring destruction, and raise up godly men and women who will stand for truth.
Strengthen the people of this land to remain resilient, united, and steadfast in faith. May they turn to You in repentance and trust, seeking Your guidance in all things. Let Your Spirit move across this nation, bringing revival and a return to Your biblical principles. Protect the vulnerable, provide for the needy, and give wisdom to those who labor for justice and prosperity.
We rebuked any spirit of division, confusion, or lawlessness that would seek to undermine this nation’s stability. By the blood of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against this land shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your kingdom come in power and glory.
We ask all these things in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for this nation, but always through the name of Jesus. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). There is no greater hope for a person—or a nation—than to be found in Him. Keep seeking His face, and trust that He hears and will answer according to His perfect will.
