We join with you in crying out to the Lord for justice, for His Word declares in **Psalm 33:5**, *"He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh."* The injustice you describe—the exploitation of citizens, the hypocrisy of leaders who claim holiness but practice wickedness, and the favoritism shown to outsiders over the people they are called to serve—is an abomination before God. The Lord sees the oppression, and He will not remain silent forever. **Proverbs 11:1** reminds us, *"Yahweh detests dishonest scales, but he delights in accurate weights."* When leaders pervert justice, they invite God’s judgment, for **Proverbs 16:12** says, *"It is an abomination for kings to do wrong, for the throne is established by righteousness."*
The hypocrisy you mention—where leaders appear righteous in church but commit evil during the week—is especially grievous. Jesus rebuked such behavior in **Matthew 23:27-28**, saying, *"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so, you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity."* Let us pray that the Lord exposes their deeds, brings conviction upon their hearts, and either leads them to repentance or removes them from their positions of power. **Psalm 75:6-7** assures us, *"For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another."*
We also lift up the people of your nation who are suffering under this corruption. May the Lord be their shield and defender, providing for their needs and raising up godly leaders who will govern with integrity. **Isaiah 1:17** commands, *"Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widow."* Let us ask the Lord to stir the hearts of His people to stand for righteousness, to speak out against injustice, and to be a light in the darkness. **Micah 6:8** reminds us of our call: *"He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"*
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this cry for justice in this land. You are a God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. Lord, we ask that You expose the corruption, the pride, and the selfishness that have taken root in the government. Let the deeds done in secret be brought to light, and let those who exploit the people face the consequences of their actions. Break the power of the wicked, Father, and do not let oppression and favoritism prevail. If these leaders will not repent, remove them from their positions and raise up godly men and women who will govern with wisdom, fairness, and compassion.
We pray for the citizens who are struggling under this burden. Comfort them, provide for them, and restore their dignity. Let them know that You see their suffering and that You are their defender. Raise up voices of truth within the nation—people who will stand for righteousness and speak out against injustice. Give them courage, Lord, and let Your Spirit move mightily among Your people.
Father, we also pray for the church in this land. Too many have remained silent while evil flourishes. Awaken Your people, Lord! Let them be a light in the darkness, a voice for the voiceless, and a force for justice. Convict those who claim Your name but live in hypocrisy. Bring them to true repentance, or remove their influence so that Your name is not blasphemed.
We trust in Your justice, Lord, for it is perfect, and Your timing is true. Let Your will be done in this nation, and let Your kingdom come. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save and to judge. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in faith. The battle against injustice is spiritual, and we must put on the full armor of God as described in **Ephesians 6:10-18**. Do not grow weary in doing good, for **Galatians 6:9** promises, *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."* Trust that the Lord hears your prayers and that He will act. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and continue to seek His righteousness above all else.
