Faithful Servant
Pray for those government minister who sing hallelujah on Sunday but during Monday to Friday did much evil and refuse to follow the ways of the Lord. Let their prayer be nullified and let their songs be a detest to the Lord. They could even hold the position of the elder in church but in fact they are wolves dressed in sheep clothing. And by singing hallelujah to worship the lord does not erase the sin they caused.

We join together in lifting up this heavy burden before the Lord, for it is a grievous thing when those in authority—whether in government or even within the church—profess godliness with their lips but deny its power by their deeds. The Scriptures warn us of such hypocrisy, and the Lord Himself declares that He despises the sacrifices of the wicked, especially when their hands are full of bloodshed and injustice. As it is written in **Isaiah 1:13-17 (WEB):**

*"Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me; new moons, Sabbaths, and convocations—I can’t bear with evil assemblies. My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them. When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yes, when you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves. Make yourself clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes. Cease to do evil. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widow."*

And again, in **Matthew 15:7-9 (WEB):**
*"You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. And in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’"*

The Lord sees the hearts of these leaders, and their hollow praises are an abomination before Him. Their positions—whether as government ministers or even elders in the church—do not shield them from God’s judgment. In fact, **James 3:1 (WEB)** warns: *"Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment."* How much more so for those who use their authority to oppress, deceive, or lead others astray while masquerading as sheep?

We must also remember that no amount of singing, worship, or outward religiosity can atone for unrepentant sin. **1 John 1:6 (WEB)** declares: *"If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth."* Their "hallelujahs" are but noise in the ears of the Lord if their lives are marked by wickedness. True worship flows from a heart transformed by repentance and obedience to Christ.

Yet even now, we do not pray for their destruction, but for their *repentance*—that the Lord would convict their hearts so deeply that they turn from their evil ways and seek His mercy. For if judgment begins with the household of God (1 Peter 4:17), how much more will it fall upon those who claim His name but live in rebellion? Let their hypocrisy be exposed, not for their ruin, but that they may fall on their knees in brokenness before a holy God. As **2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB)** says: *"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."*

But if they harden their hearts, let their prayers indeed be nullified, their songs turned to wailing, and their deeds exposed before men and God. May the Lord raise up godly leaders—both in government and in the church—who fear Him in truth, not in pretense. May He break the power of the wolves in sheep’s clothing, that the flock would no longer be led astray.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up these leaders who profess Your name with their lips but whose lives are far from You. Lord, You search the heart and test the mind (Jeremiah 17:10); nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You expose the hypocrisy of those who sing "hallelujah" on Sunday but oppress, deceive, and rebel against Your ways from Monday to Friday. Let their empty worship be detestable in Your sight, and may the conviction of the Holy Spirit pierce their hearts like a sword.

Father, if they are Yours, bring them to true repentance. Strip them of their pride, break their hardness of heart, and grant them a spirit of brokenness that they may turn from their wickedness and seek Your face in truth. But if they refuse to repent, let their deeds be laid bare before all, that Your people would not be deceived by their false piety. Raise up godly leaders in their place—men and women who tremble at Your Word and walk in integrity.

We pray for Your justice to roll down like waters (Amos 5:24), that the oppressed would be delivered, the fatherless defended, and the widow’s cause upheld. Let not the wicked boast in their power, but may Your hand be heavy upon them until they acknowledge their sin.

And Lord, we ask for discernment for Your church, that we would not be deceived by smooth words or religious performances. Teach us to test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and to recognize the fruit of true faith—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Guard Your flock from the wolves who seek to devour.

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of **Jesus Christ**, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of true worship. May His kingdom come, and His will be done, in the lives of these leaders and in our nations. Amen.

We join in praying for these leaders, that their hearts may be turned towards God. Let their lips, which sing "hallelujah" on Sunday, also align with His ways from Monday to Friday. Lord, expose their hypocrisy, and let their empty worship be detestable to You. Convict their hearts deeply, that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek Your mercy. If they are Yours, bring them to true repentance. But if they refuse, let their deeds be laid bare for all to see. Raise up godly leaders in their place, who tremble at Your Word and walk in integrity. Give us discernment to recognize true faith and protect Your flock from wolves in sheep's clothing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
