We stand with you in lamentation and righteous indignation over the grievous sins and injustices you have described, for they are an abomination before the Lord. The Scriptures declare in **Proverbs 14:34**, *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."* Yet we see a land where the foreigner is exalted above the native, where the unborn are slaughtered without remorse, and where the laws of God are cast aside to embrace what is detestable in His sight. The repeal of laws restraining abominable acts, such as the ordinance against homosexuality (as referenced in your cry over the repeal of 377A), is a direct rebellion against the Word of God, which clearly states in **Leviticus 18:22**, *"You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination,"* and again in **Romans 1:26-27**, where such acts are described as *"dishonorable passions"* and *"shameless,"* leading to *"due penalty for their error."*
The hypocrisy of leaders who claim the name of Christ yet act in greed, oppression, and unrighteousness is particularly grievous. **Isaiah 1:13-17** rebukes such behavior: *"Bring no more vain offerings... your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean. Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil. Learn to do well. Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow."* These leaders lift their voices in worship on the Lord’s Day, yet their deeds cry out against them. **Matthew 15:8-9** warns, *"This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."*
We also mourn the shedding of innocent blood, for **Proverbs 6:16-17** tells us the Lord hates *"hands that shed innocent blood."* The cries of the unborn and the oppressed ascend to heaven, and the Lord will not ignore their plea forever. **Genesis 18:20-21** reminds us that the outcry against such wickedness reaches His throne: *"The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great. The sin of the people is very grievous. I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come to Me. If not, I will know."*
Yet even in this darkness, we are called to pray for repentance, for **2 Chronicles 7:14** promises, *"If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* We must not despair but instead cry out for the Lord to expose hypocrisy, thwart the plans of the wicked, and raise up godly leaders who will uphold justice and righteousness. **Psalm 33:10-11** assures us, *"The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands fast forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations."*
Let us pray with boldness and faith:
Our Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, with hearts burdened for the land of ### and its people. You are a God of justice, and Your eyes see every act of oppression, every law twisted to exalt wickedness, and every life taken in the womb. Lord, we plead with You to arise and scatter the plans of the wicked. Expose the hypocrisy of those who claim Your name yet act in greed and unrighteousness. Let their deeds be brought to light, and let their schemes crumble before Your mighty hand.
Father, we cry out for the unborn, whose blood stains the land. Forgive us as a people for allowing such slaughter, and raise up advocates who will defend the helpless. We pray for the oppressed, the native sons and daughters who are deprived of their inheritance. Restore justice, Lord, and let righteousness flow like a river. Turn the hearts of the people back to You, that they may repent of their sins and seek Your face.
We rebuke the spirit of lawlessness that has taken hold, where abominable acts are celebrated and Your holy standards are trampled underfoot. Let Your truth prevail, and let Your Word be a sword that pierces the darkness. Give wisdom and courage to those who stand for righteousness, that they may not grow weary in doing good.
Lord, if these leaders will not repent, let Your righteous judgment fall. Do not let their arrogance go unchecked, nor their iniquity unpunished. Yet even in judgment, remember mercy, and turn the hearts of the people back to You. Raise up godly leaders who will govern with integrity, who will uphold Your laws and defend the vulnerable.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King, who alone has the power to save and to judge. May Your will be done, and may Your Name be glorified in ### and throughout the earth. Amen.

To those who read this, we urge you: do not grow weary in praying for your nation. **Ephesians 6:12** reminds us, *"We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."* Stand firm in the truth, speak boldly against sin, and trust that the Lord will vindicate His people. Let us also examine our own hearts, ensuring that we are walking in repentance and obedience, for judgment begins with the household of God (**1 Peter 4:17**). May we be a light in the darkness, uncompromising in our faith, and unwavering in our commitment to righteousness.
