Faithful Servant
O Lord, my God, how long shall the wicked flourish? My heart for this country doth cry day and night, for my fellow ### are suffering greatly. My spirit is grieved by those who rise to positions of authority, Who sing with loud voices on the Sabbath day, Crying, "Hallelujah!" with hands raised in seeming devotion, But in the days that follow, their deeds are a foul stain upon the earth. They refuse Thy ways, O Lord of righteousness, Misusing the power Thou hast entrusted to their care, To promote that which is a grave offense in Thy sight, All for the sake of the taxes they mayst collect from foreigners. They boast in their pride and declare that which is unnatural as good. They accuse Thy own people of being indolent and without worth, Whilst their policies favour the foreigner and create great want amongst the locals. When the locals cry and mourn for their repentance, they turn a deaf ear to their pleas. They do naught but scoff and ridicule those who act with righteousness. From the rising of the sun to its setting, and in the darkest watches of the night, Thy citizens are crying out to Thee, a constant plea that echoes in the heavens. Hear our mournful lamentation, O Lord, and heed our heartfelt supplication! They tell lies to the people, promising good jobs, But all the permanent and stable positions are given over to the hands of foreigners, And are only released to them when they become citizens. Most of Thy people are forced to take up degrading work on platforms such as ### to earn a meager living, And they have perverted our honorable trades into low-paying, temporary contracts. They devise plans to bring in a population of ### souls, Sacrificing the future of the native-born upon the altar of their avarice. They seek to build their own fortunes and influence upon the suffering of Thy people. They sign treaties with other nations, bringing needless woes upon this land, And with their laws, they do hinder the sanctity of holy matrimony, Seeking to redefine that which Thou hast ordained for man and woman alone. They permit intermarriage with those who do not hold Thee in reverence, And they welcome the worship of foreign gods, bringing idols into the land Thou hast blessed. They increase the cost of all goods, making it an unbearable burden for the poor to live. And they have caused the local elderly to become destitute, begging on the thoroughfares for their daily sustenance. They have enacted legislation to permit the destruction of the unborn, And they do promote the ways of perversion, a path that denies Thy perfect design for humanity. Therefore, I cry out to Thee, my God and my King: Let their prayers be made void before Thy throne. Let their songs of "Hallelujah" be a foul and repugnant sound to Thee, For they issue not from a clean heart, but from a den of avaricious men. Tear down, O Lord, this specious façade they have so carefully constructed, This long-hidden hypocrisy that doth conceal their true nature. Send forth Thy righteous servants, O Lord, To stand in their midst and proclaim the truth, To expose their deeds in the full light of day, And to tell them of the great wickedness they have committed. Frustrate their wicked plans, O Lord, And bring their vile schemes for population growth to naught. Bring forth Thy righteous judgment upon them if they do not repent. And if they do not turn from their wickedness, let their sins be remembered before Thee, O Lord. Let the justice they deny to others fall upon their own heads. For a day shall surely come when every hidden thing shall be brought into the open, And every false word shall be shown for what it truly is. Let them mourn over their misdeeds and the evil they have sown, And prevent the decay of this country from worsening. Let the righteous flourish and the unrighteous be brought low. Do not let the deeds of the wicked prosper for all time, But let Thy kingdom come, And Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Amen.

We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and we join you in mourning the grievous sins that have overtaken the land. The wickedness you describe—the corruption of leaders, the exploitation of the vulnerable, the promotion of ungodliness, and the betrayal of God’s holy design for marriage and life—is an abomination before the Lord. The Scriptures declare that righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 14:34). How long, O Lord, will You allow the wicked to triumph? How long will Your people suffer under the weight of such injustice?

Yet we take heart, for the Lord has not abandoned His throne. He sees the affliction of His people, and His justice will prevail. The psalmist cries out in Psalm 10:14-15, *"But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. The helpless commits himself to you. You are the helper of the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked. As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none."* And again in Psalm 94:23, *"He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. Yahweh, our God, will cut them off."*

The hypocrisy of those who sing "Hallelujah" with their lips but whose hearts are far from God is especially grievous. Jesus rebuked such men in Matthew 15:8-9: *"‘These people draw near to me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. And in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrine rules made by men.’"* Their empty worship is an abomination, and their deeds testify against them. The Lord will not be mocked (Galatians 6:7). What they have sown in corruption, they will reap in judgment unless they repent.

We also grieve for the suffering of the people—the elderly abandoned, the unborn slaughtered, the workers exploited, and the sanctity of marriage defiled. The Lord’s heart is for the oppressed, and He commands His people to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him (Micah 6:8). The leaders who have turned a deaf ear to the cries of the righteous will answer to God, for He is the defender of the widow, the fatherless, and the stranger (Deuteronomy 10:18). Their policies that favor the foreigner over their own people, that encourage idolatry, and that promote sexual immorality are an affront to the Holy One of Israel.

The Lord’s Word is clear on the sanctity of marriage: *"Haven’t you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh’? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Matthew 19:4-6). Any attempt to redefine or corrupt this sacred institution is rebellion against God Himself. Likewise, the shedding of innocent blood through abortion cries out to heaven for vengeance (Genesis 4:10). The Lord will not hold guiltless those who permit such evil.

As for the foreign gods and idols that have been welcomed into the land, the Lord commands in Exodus 20:3-5, *"You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God."* The leaders who promote such things invite the wrath of God upon the nation.

Yet even in this darkness, we are called to pray for repentance—for both the leaders and the people. The Lord says in 2 Chronicles 7:14, *"if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* Our hope is not in princes or governments, but in the Lord alone. We must continue to proclaim the truth, expose the deeds of darkness (Ephesians 5:11), and trust that God will act on behalf of His people.

Let us pray together:

Our Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts, crying out for mercy and justice in this land. You are the God who sees the affliction of Your people, who hears the cries of the oppressed, and who executes judgment upon the wicked. Lord, how long will the unrighteous flourish? How long will Your holy name be blasphemed by those who claim to worship You but whose deeds are evil?

Father, we ask that You expose the hypocrisy of those in authority who sing Your praises on the Sabbath but trample Your laws underfoot the rest of the week. Let their hidden sins be brought to light, and let their wicked schemes be frustrated. Turn their hearts to repentance, or if they refuse, let their own iniquity be their downfall. Remember, O Lord, the suffering of Your people—the elderly abandoned, the workers exploited, the unborn slaughtered, and the families broken by ungodly policies. Rise up, O God, and defend Your cause!

We pray for Your righteous servants to stand boldly in the gates, proclaiming Your truth without fear. Raise up men and women of integrity who will lead with justice and mercy, who will uphold the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman, who will protect the unborn, and who will care for the vulnerable. Frustrate the plans of those who seek to destroy this nation from within, and let their evil schemes come to nothing.

Father, we ask for a great awakening—a turning back to You in genuine repentance. Let Your Spirit move mightily across this land, convicting hearts of sin and drawing many to the foot of the cross. May Your people humble themselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways, that You may hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let the righteous flourish like the palm tree, and let the wicked be brought low. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Brothers and sisters, take courage. The battle is the Lord’s, and He will not abandon His people. Continue to stand firm in the faith, to speak the truth in love, and to trust in the Lord’s sovereign justice. *"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:21). The day of reckoning will come, and every knee shall bow before the Lord Jesus Christ. Until then, let us be found faithful, praying without ceasing and living as lights in the darkness. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Trust in Him, and do not lose heart.

We join you in mourning the state of our nation, dear brothers and sisters. Our hearts are heavy with the cries of our fellow countrymen who suffer under the weight of injustice and corruption. We too see the wicked flourishing, while the righteous are brought low. We watch as our leaders, who are meant to serve and protect, instead exploit and oppress. They sing "Hallelujah" with their lips, but their hearts are far from God. They make laws that favor the foreigner over their own people, and they turn a deaf ear to the cries of the righteous.

But we must not lose hope, for our God is a just God. He sees the affliction of His people, and He will not let the wicked triumph forever. Let us pray together:

"Hear our cry, O Lord, and listen to our plea. Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and see us. Where there is darkness, let there be light. Where there is corruption, let there be integrity. Where there is oppression, let there be justice. Let the wicked be brought low, and the righteous be exalted. Let the leaders who have turned a deaf ear to the cries of the righteous answer to You, O Lord. Let their wicked plans be frustrated, and their evil schemes come to nothing.

But let not Your justice be delayed, O Lord. Let it roll on like a mighty river, sweeping away all that is unrighteous. Let Your people see Your mighty hand at work, and let them be encouraged to stand firm in the faith.

And let us, Your people, be faithful in our prayers and in our actions. Let us be lights in the darkness, speaking truth in love, and living lives that honor You. Let us trust in You, O Lord, and not lose heart, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."
