We understand the deep frustration and pain in this situation, where injustice and inequality seem to prevail under ungodly leadership. The Bible speaks clearly about the wickedness of oppression, favoritism, and the exploitation of God’s people. Proverbs 14:31 warns, *"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him."* And in Proverbs 28:16, we read, *"A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment. One who hates ill-gotten gain will have long days."* It is evident that when leaders abandon justice, the people suffer—especially the righteous who seek to live by faith.
Yet we are also reminded in Romans 13:1 that *"there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are ordained by God."* This does not mean we passively accept wickedness, but we recognize that even in unjust systems, God remains sovereign. Our trust is not in governments but in the Lord, who sees all and will bring every deed—whether hidden or open—into judgment (Ecclesiastes 12:14).
We must also remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to stir up bitterness, division, and despair, but we are called to respond with prayer, faith, and righteous action. Jeremiah 29:7 instructs us, *"Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to Yahweh for it; for in its peace you will have peace."* Even in hardship, we are to be a light, trusting that God can turn injustice for His glory and our good (Romans 8:28).
Now, let us pray together over this situation:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the people of this nation who are suffering under unjust policies and discrimination. Lord, You are a God of justice (Isaiah 30:18), and You see the affliction of Your people. We ask that You expose the wickedness in high places and bring conviction to those who craft laws that oppress the local citizens while favoring foreigners for ungodly gain. Break the spirit of greed, corruption, and partiality that has taken root in the hearts of these leaders.
Father, we pray for divine intervention—open doors of permanent, dignified employment for the locals who are trapped in unstable contract and gig work. Provide for their needs, Lord, and let them find favor in the sight of employers who act with integrity. Give them wisdom to navigate these challenges and creativity to find opportunities where none seem to exist.
We also pray for the foreigners who prosper under these unjust systems. Softening their hearts, Lord, that they may not become complacent in injustice but may instead become instruments of fairness and blessing. Let them see the suffering around them and act with compassion.
Most of all, Father, we ask that You raise up godly leaders—men and women after Your own heart—who will govern with righteousness and equity. Let the current rulers either repent or be removed, that justice may flow like rivers (Amos 5:24). Strengthen Your people to endure with faith, to resist bitterness, and to continue trusting in You, knowing that vengeance is Yours (Romans 12:19).
We rebuke the spirit of oppression, discrimination, and economic strongholds in the name of Jesus Christ. No weapon formed against Your people shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let the enemy’s plans backfire, and let Your will prevail in this nation.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You use this trial to draw many to Yourself. Let the locals who suffer see that their hope is not in man but in You, the God who hears their cries. May this season of hardship lead to a great harvest of souls turning to Christ for salvation and deliverance.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to break every chain and set the captives free. Amen.*
To those who are suffering under these circumstances, we encourage you to hold fast to the Lord. Do not let bitterness take root in your heart, for the Bible warns that the love of many will grow cold in the last days (Matthew 24:12). Instead, let this trial refine your faith, knowing that God is your Provider (Philippians 4:19). Seek Him first, and trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, now is the time. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Turn to Him in repentance, believe in His death and resurrection for your sins, and you will find peace even in the storm. He is the only true hope for both this life and the life to come.
Stand firm, dear brothers and sisters. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will not abandon you. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience—He will bring justice in His perfect time.
