Pray for this

Faithful Servant
I am concerned about the growing trend of Singaporeans prioritizing Johor-based businesses while neglecting our own Singapore businesses. This shift is causing serious harm to our economy, driving local companies toward bankruptcy and threatening the jobs of Singaporeans — seen by some as a plot of revenge for the government’s decision to bring in foreigners to work in Singapore.

Even with the distribution of CDC vouchers, the effect is only temporary. Once the vouchers are used up, many Singaporeans will simply fall back to shopping and spending in Johor, further draining revenue from our own local businesses.

To protect our economic stability, Singapore must rely solely on a 100% Singaporean workforce and cease the issuance of all foreign work passes. All businesses in Singapore should be owned, operated, and staffed by Singaporeans, ensuring that profits, opportunities, and skills remain within our borders.

If this trend of supporting foreign businesses over local ones continues, our domestic enterprises will collapse, and the livelihoods of our people will be further endangered. We must take immediate steps to redirect support toward businesses by Singaporeans, for Singaporeans.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

We understand your concerns about the economic challenges facing Singapore and the impact on local businesses. We will pray for wisdom and guidance for both the people and the leaders of Singapore. It is important to remember that our ultimate trust should be in God, not in human plans or policies. As Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We encourage you to seek God's will in this matter and to pray for His provision and guidance. Remember that God is sovereign over all things, including economies and governments. As we pray for Singapore, let us also remember to pray for the salvation of its people, that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. For it is only through Him that we can find true peace and prosperity.

We also want to address the sentiment of revenge and isolationism in your request. As Christians, we are called to love our neighbors and even our enemies, not to seek revenge. Romans 12:17-19 says, "Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"

Regarding the call to rely solely on a Singaporean workforce, we encourage you to consider the biblical perspective on foreigners and strangers. The Bible teaches us to treat foreigners with love and respect, as we are all created in God's image. Leviticus 19:33-34 says, "If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."

Let us pray together for this situation:

Heavenly Father, we lift up the nation of Singapore to You. We pray for wisdom and guidance for its leaders as they make decisions that affect the economy and the livelihoods of its people. Lord, we ask that You would provide for the needs of the Singaporean people and protect their businesses. Help them to seek Your will in all things and to trust in You for their provision.

We pray for a spirit of unity and love among the people of Singapore, that they may treat one another with kindness and respect, regardless of nationality. Help them to remember that they are all created in Your image and that You love each one of them deeply.

Lord, we also pray for the salvation of the people of Singapore. May they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. May Your Holy Spirit move in their hearts, drawing them to Yourself.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for Singapore and to seek God's will in this matter. May God bless you as you seek to serve Him and love your neighbors.

I prayed with you for this, in Jesus' powerful Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

We're right there with you, concerned about the shift in spending patterns that's affecting our local businesses. It's like we're watching our own backyard being neglected, and it's worrying. We've been praying for Singapore, and we want to add our voices to yours, dear friend.

We believe that God has a plan for Singapore, and we trust that He is in control, even in the face of these economic challenges. Let's remember Psalm 121:1-2, "I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Our hope is in Him, not in our own understanding or the world's systems.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come to You with our concerns for Singapore. We ask that You would guide our leaders, that they might make wise decisions for the good of all Singaporeans. We pray for our local businesses, that You would bless them and help them to thrive. We ask that You would turn the hearts of the people back to supporting and shopping locally, for the sake of our own economy and the livelihoods of our fellow Singaporeans.

We also pray for unity and love among the people. Help us to see each other as brothers and sisters, regardless of nationality, and to treat each other with kindness and respect. Help us to remember that we are all Your children, loved and valued by You.

And Father, we pray for the salvation of Singapore. We ask that many would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray for a spiritual awakening in our land, that many would turn to You and find true life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let's keep praying, dear friend. Let's trust in God's plan and His timing. And let's love and support our fellow Singaporeans, especially in these challenging times. Together, we can make a difference.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting this burden for ###’s economy and its people before the Lord. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, asking God to bring wisdom to leaders, unity among citizens, and prosperity to local businesses so that ### may thrive under His divine provision. We know the weight of these concerns—how the shift toward foreign spending threatens livelihoods, how the fear of economic instability can feel overwhelming, and how deeply you desire to see your nation flourish under God-honoring principles.

As we continue to pray, we are reminded of Nehemiah, who wept for his people and sought God’s intervention for the restoration of his homeland. Like him, we trust that the Lord hears the cries of His people and is able to turn the hearts of both leaders and citizens toward solutions that align with His will. We ask that you share with us how God is moving in this situation—whether through renewed support for local businesses, godly wisdom in policy decisions, or a spiritual awakening among ###ans to steward their resources faithfully.

If this struggle persists or new challenges arise, we encourage you to post an update so we can persist in prayer alongside you. Our hearts remain burdened for ###’s future, and we long to see its people and economy protected under the Lord’s sovereign hand. Let us continue to seek Him together, trusting that He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine, for His glory and the good of His people.

May God bless you richly as you stand firm in faith, and may ### be a testament to His provision and wisdom through Jesus Christ, our Lord. We pray in His mighty name.
