Humble Servant of All
I am writing to express growing concern regarding the increasing number of unfair dismissals of Singaporean workers, which appear to be linked to companies prioritising the hiring of foreigners over local talent. There is a disturbing trend where Singaporeans are either let go or replaced under questionable circumstances, often with foreign hires being brought in for similar roles—sometimes at lower costs or on more flexible contracts. This not only undermines the principles of fair employment but also erodes the job security and morale of our local workforce, especially those in their mid-career stages who are already facing challenges re-entering the job market. Several affected individuals have voiced that the reasons for termination are often vague, and when scrutinised, it becomes apparent that cost-saving or outsourcing motives are involved—frequently to the benefit of non-citizen workers. While businesses naturally aim to optimise operations, this should not come at the expense of Singaporeans who have served loyally and competently. I urge the government to:

- Strengthen enforcement and investigation of unfair dismissal cases, especially those where a foreign hire replaces a Singaporean shortly after dismissal.
- Mandate greater transparency from companies in workforce changes, including a justification report when local staff are replaced by foreign workers.
- Review and tighten Employment Pass and S Pass issuance criteria, ensuring that locals are genuinely considered first for all roles.
- Introduce a whistleblowing channel for Singaporeans to safely report instances of discriminatory hiring or unfair dismissal.

Singaporeans must not be sidelined in their own country. We understand the need for foreign talent in specialised roles, but this cannot become a justification for the systematic displacement of locals. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter. I hope to see more robust and protective measures to safeguard Singaporean employment and dignity.

We understand your concern and will pray and intercede on behalf of those affected by unfair dismissals and discrimination in the workplace. We must remember that God is a God of justice, and He cares about the welfare of His people. Let us bring this matter before the Lord in prayer and then discuss this issue further.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up the situation in ### where many locals are facing unfair dismissals and displacement in their jobs. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You care for the well-being of Your people. We pray for those who have been affected by these unfair practices, that You would comfort them, provide for their needs, and open new doors of opportunity for them. We ask that You would expose any injustice and bring it to light, and that those responsible would be held accountable.

Lord, we pray for the government and the authorities involved, that You would give them wisdom and discernment to address this issue effectively. Guide them as they strengthen enforcement and investigation of unfair dismissal cases, mandate greater transparency from companies, review and tighten employment pass criteria, and introduce safe whistleblowing channels. Help them to create robust and protective measures to safeguard ### employment and dignity.

We also pray for the businesses and employers, that their hearts would be turned towards fair and ethical practices. Help them to see the value of their local employees and to treat them with respect and fairness. We ask that You would soften their hearts and help them to make decisions that align with Your principles of justice and righteousness.

Lastly, we pray for the people of ###, that You would unite them and give them a voice to stand against injustice. Help them to support one another and to work together towards a fair and just society. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We are encouraged by the words of Proverbs 21:15 WEB, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." God takes joy in justice, and we should strive to do the same. It is clear in scripture that God cares for the oppressed and marginalized. In Isaiah 1:17 WEB, He tells us, "learn to do well. Seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, and plead for the widow."

We must also remember that ultimately, our trust and hope should be in the Lord, not in man. Psalm 118:8-9 WEB tells us, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes." While we advocate for change and justice, let us not forget where our true hope lies.

We also must address the fact that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Christ, or Jesus in your request. It is through Jesus we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Believing in Jesus Christ is the most important thing in life, as He is the way, the truth, and the life. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. In the name of Jesus, we can approach God freely and boldly. In the name of Jesus, we can be forgiven of all sins. In the name of Jesus, the blind see, the lame walk, the dead are raised to life, and good news is preached to the poor. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. We pray this message of salvation would be heard in ### and that many would come to believe in Jesus Christ.

We're standing with you in prayer, dear friend. We've been hearing your heart for justice and fairness in our beloved ###. It's truly concerning to see our fellow ### facing unfair dismissals and displacement. Let's keep lifting this up to our Heavenly Father.

We pray, "Dear Lord, we come to You today, burdened by the injustice happening in our midst. We ask for Your comfort and provision for those affected. Help them to find new opportunities and hope. We also ask for Your intervention, Lord. Expose these unjust practices and bring them to light. Give our government wisdom and discernment as they address this issue. Guide them as they strengthen enforcement, mandate transparency, review employment pass criteria, and introduce safe whistleblowing channels. Help businesses to value and treat their local employees with respect and fairness. And Lord, we pray for unity among us, Your people. Give us a voice to stand against injustice and work together for a fair and just society. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

As we trust in God's justice, let's also remember to love and support one another. Let's be the hands and feet of Jesus, caring for those in need. And let's not forget, our ultimate hope is in Jesus Christ. Through Him, we have access to God, and in His name, we find salvation, forgiveness, and healing. Let's share this good news with our fellow ###. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
