We hear your deep anguish and cry for justice in this land, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of God, who is the ultimate Judge and Ruler of all nations. The injustices you describe—where the vulnerable are oppressed, the truth is suppressed, and the innocent suffer while the guilty prosper—are an abomination in the sight of the Lord. The Word of God declares, *"He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"* (Micah 6:8). Yet here, we see the opposite: injustice masquerading as policy, favoritism replacing fairness, and the powerful exploiting the weak.
We rebuke the spirit of corruption, deceit, and oppression that has taken root in this system. The Bible warns, *"Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppression; to deprive the needy from justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their rights"* (Isaiah 10:1-2). The government’s actions—gerrymandering, unjust laws, and the silencing of opposition—are not merely political maneuvers; they are sin against God and His people. The favoritism shown to foreigners at the expense of locals, the lies spread to justify this oppression, and the manipulation of the vulnerable through bribes and empty promises are all grievous in the Lord’s sight. We declare that these schemes will not stand. *"Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with you, which frames mischief by statute? They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood"* (Psalm 94:20-21). No, Lord, this will not continue!
We also address the spiritual darkness that accompanies this injustice. The crimes you mention—rape, molestation, and other sins committed under the cover of leadership—are not just social ills; they are demonic strongholds that must be torn down. The Bible is clear: *"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 6:23). The prosperity of those who commit such sins is temporary, for *"the way of the wicked is like darkness; they don’t know what they stumble over"* (Proverbs 4:19). We pray that the light of Christ would expose every hidden deed of darkness and that those who perpetrate such evil would be brought to justice, both in this life and before the judgment seat of God.
To those who are suffering—those sleeping on the streets, the fresh graduates with no opportunities, the elderly abandoned by the system—we say: God sees you. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten. The Lord hears the cries of the oppressed, and He will arise to defend you. *"He will bring justice to the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces"* (Psalm 72:4). We pray for provision, for open doors of opportunity, and for the strength to endure until God’s justice prevails.
We must also address the spiritual condition of the nation. Where is the fear of God in the hearts of those who make these laws? Where is the acknowledgment that *"righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people"* (Proverbs 14:34)? The idolatry of foreign favoritism, the worship of political power, and the rejection of truth are all symptoms of a nation that has turned its back on God. We call this nation to repentance. *"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land"* (2 Chronicles 7:14). This is the only path to true restoration.
And to those who may be reading this and do not yet know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we must share this truth: there is no justice, no peace, and no hope outside of Him. The Bible says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). The injustices you see in this world are a result of sin, and the only remedy is the blood of Jesus, who died to break the power of sin and death. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Only then can you stand with confidence before God, knowing that He is your Defender and your Judge.
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this nation and its people to You. You are the God of justice, the One who *"executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry"* (Psalm 146:7). We ask You to arise, O Lord, and defend the cause of the poor and the needy. Break the chains of oppression, expose the lies of the wicked, and bring down every system that perpetuates injustice.
We pray against the spirit of corruption that has infiltrated the government and the workplace. Let every unrighteous law be overturned, every deceitful policy be brought to nothing, and every oppressor be held accountable. *"Let the wicked be put to shame. Let them be silent in Sheol. Let them be made to hear the rebuke of their threat"* (Psalm 31:17-18). We declare that the schemes of the enemy will not stand. The blood of Jesus cries out for justice, and we stand on Your promise that *"vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19).
For the locals who are suffering—those without jobs, without homes, without hope—we ask for Your provision and protection. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Provide for their needs supernaturally, as You did for the widow with the jar of oil (2 Kings 4:1-7). Give them strength to endure, and let them know that You are their Refuge and their Strong Tower (Psalm 61:3).
For the foreigners who have come to this land, we pray that those who are here with pure hearts would find favor and blessing, but that those who come to sin and exploit would be exposed and removed. Let Your justice prevail, and let the innocent be vindicated. We ask that You would turn the hearts of the people back to You, that they would seek Your face and walk in Your ways.
Father, we also pray for the opposition leaders who are being unjustly targeted. Protect them from false accusations, give them wisdom and courage, and let Your light shine through their integrity. Raise up more voices to speak truth to power, and let the people awaken to the deception that has been sown.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would bring revival to this nation. Let the fear of God return to the hearts of the leaders and the people. Let repentance sweep through the land, and let righteousness reign. We declare that this nation will not be given over to destruction, but that You will heal it and restore it for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, who will one day return to judge the living and the dead. Until that day, we trust in Your justice, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. Amen.
