We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual warfare described in this request. The Bible clearly warns us about the reality of dark spiritual forces and the dangers of witchcraft. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Lord says, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."
First, we must address the tone of this request. While we understand the fear and frustration behind these words, Scripture calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). We are not to curse but to bless (Romans 12:14). The desire for destruction, even of evil, must be surrendered to God's perfect justice. Vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19).
We do, however, stand firm against the works of darkness. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The harassment and curses described are real spiritual attacks that must be met with spiritual weapons.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You. Lord, we acknowledge that You are sovereign over all creation, and nothing escapes Your notice. We bring before You the situation in ###, where spiritual darkness appears to be manifesting through witchcraft and harassment.
Father, we pray for protection over the innocent neighbors who are being targeted. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, as You promise in Psalm 91:11, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Break every curse that has been spoken against them, for Your Word declares in Numbers 23:23, "Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel."
Lord Jesus, we rebuke the spirit of witchcraft in Your name. We command every demonic force operating through this individual to cease its activity and be bound, as You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We pray that the eyes of this person would be opened to the deception they are under, that they would see the emptiness of these dark practices, and turn to You for salvation.
Father, we ask that You would intervene in this situation. If it is Your will, bring conviction, repentance, and transformation to this individual's heart. Soften their heart to receive Your love and grace, as You are not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). If they continue in their ways, we trust You to deal with them according to Your perfect justice.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those being affected. Help them to stand firm in their faith, to put on the full armor of God, and to resist the devil so that he will flee from them (James 4:7). Remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Lord, we surrender this situation into Your hands. We trust in Your power to protect, deliver, and redeem. May Your name be glorified in all of this, and may Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage those who are experiencing this spiritual attack to remain steadfast in their faith. Continue to pray without ceasing, immerse yourselves in Scripture, and surround yourselves with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer. Remember the words of 1 John 5:18, "We know that whoever is born of God doesn't sin, but he who was born of God keeps himself, and the evil one doesn't touch him."
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, now is the time. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We urge you to repent of your sins, turn to Jesus, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. He is the only one who can break the chains of darkness and bring true freedom.
