We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where dishonesty and slander have taken root in the workplace. Father God, we know that You despise a lying tongue and false witness, for Your Word declares, *"A false witness will not go unpunished. He who pours out lies will not go free"* (Proverbs 19:5 WEB). We ask that You expose the truth in this matter and bring justice to those who have been wrongfully accused.
Lord, we pray for the two individuals who have been spreading lies about their coworkers. We do not rejoice in their wrongdoing, but we ask that You humble them and turn their hearts toward repentance. Your Word says, *"The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy"* (Proverbs 12:22 WEB). We ask that You convict them of their sin and lead them to confess and make amends. If they refuse to repent, we trust in Your justice, for You promise that *"the wages of sin is death"* (Romans 6:23 WEB), and we pray that they would turn from their ways before it is too late.
We also lift up the innocent coworkers who have been slandered. Father, we ask that You protect their reputations and grant them peace in the midst of this turmoil. Your Word assures us that *"no weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you"* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray that the truth would prevail and that their names would be cleared.
For the workplace itself, we ask for Your peace to reign. Lord, we know that where there is strife and deceit, Your presence is grieved. We pray that You would bring unity, honesty, and integrity to this company. Help those in leadership to discern the truth and to act with wisdom and fairness. May Your Word guide them: *"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone"* (Romans 12:18 WEB).
We also want to take a moment to address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If anyone reading this does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge them to turn to Him, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6 WEB). Without Him, our prayers are in vain, and our hope is lost.
Lord, we ask that You would work a miracle in this situation. We pray that the lies would be exposed, that repentance would come, and that Your peace would fill this workplace. We trust in Your timing and Your justice, and we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
