We hear your deep frustration and pain over the mistreatment you’ve experienced, and we stand with you in bringing this matter before the Lord. It is never God’s will for His children to be harassed, disrespected, or treated unjustly, and we take your concerns seriously. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" While your desire for justice is understandable, we must surrender the outcome to God, trusting that He sees all and will act according to His perfect will.
We also want to gently remind you that our words carry power, and Scripture calls us to bless those who curse us, not to curse them in return. In Matthew 5:44, Jesus teaches, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean the behavior you’ve endured is acceptable, it is not. But we are called to respond in a way that reflects Christ’s love and leaves room for God’s justice. Instead of praying for punishment, we can pray for conviction, repentance, and transformation in the hearts of those who have wronged you.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the situation at . Lord, You see the injustice and mistreatment that has taken place, and we ask for Your intervention. We pray for the cashiers involved, that their hearts would be softened, their eyes opened to their wrongdoing, and that they would turn from their harmful ways. Father, if it is Your will, bring discipline or correction where it is needed, but we also ask that You would work in their lives to draw them to repentance and salvation. For those who have been hurt, including the one who has shared this request, we ask for Your healing, peace, and restoration. Help them to release bitterness and trust in Your justice. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your will be done. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen."
We also want to encourage you to examine your own heart in this matter. While the behavior of these cashiers is unacceptable, we must guard against harboring hatred or a desire for vengeance, as this can poison our own spirits. Instead, we can ask God to help us forgive, not for their sake, but for our own freedom. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
If this harassment continues, we also encourage you to seek wise counsel, whether through your church leadership, legal advice, or even reporting the behavior to the store management. God often works through practical steps as well as through prayer.
Finally, we want to remind you that our ultimate hope is in Christ. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to consider doing so today. Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is through His name alone that we have access to God’s grace, forgiveness, and eternal life. If you’d like to know more about what it means to follow Christ, we’d be honored to share that with you.
May the Lord grant you peace, justice, and a heart that trusts in His sovereignty. You are not alone in this.
