Scripture is clear that those who oppress the vulnerable will face His judgment, for the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). He hears the cries of the afflicted and will not ignore their pleas (Exodus 22:23-24). Your stepfather’s actions are not only criminal but sinful, and we rebuke the spirit of violence, rage, and destruction at work in this situation in the name of Jesus.
We urge you, beloved, to take immediate steps to ensure your safety and the safety of your family. God has placed people in authority to be ministers of justice (Romans 13:4), and it is not wrong to seek their help.
