We come before the throne of grace with this request, lifting up both the manager and the applicant in prayer. First, we must acknowledge that all good things come from God, and it is by His will that doors open and opportunities arise. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We trust that if this job is part of God’s perfect plan for Mr. ###, He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
However, we must also examine our hearts and motives in this matter. While we pray for favor and miraculous intervention, we must ensure that our desires align with God’s will. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). If this position is truly what God has ordained, we believe He will move the heart of the manager to act in accordance with His purpose. "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1 WEB).
We also lift up Mr. ### as a new believer in Christ. It is wonderful to hear that he has come to faith, and we pray that his walk with the Lord continues to grow stronger. May he be a light in his workplace, reflecting Christ in all he does. "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 5:16 WEB). We pray that his testimony will be a witness to others, including Ms. ###, and that God would use this opportunity to draw more hearts to Himself.
