We hear your burden and we join with you in bringing this long and distressing struggle before the Lord, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved and heard. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5, and In none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We are grateful you have cried out in Jesus name and we agree with you now for His mercy and healing touch.
We understand how wearying and lonely ten years of swelling, tingling and snapping sensations in your head must be, and how discouraging it is to ask for a brain scan and not be heard. You are not a hypochondriac for caring about the body God gave you. He made your brain fearfully and wonderfully, Psalm 139:14, and He sees and cares deeply about your suffering. He is Yahweh who heals you, Exodus 15:26, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3, and who says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3, and we know He is able to restore your brain totally and completely to its original state if it is His will.
We encourage you to keep persevering both in prayer and in seeking wise care for your body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. While we pray for divine healing, we also encourage you to continue to advocate for medical help. Keep a simple daily record of when the swelling, tingling and snapping occur, how long they last, your sleep, and your screen time, and bring that record to a trusted primary care doctor. Ask again with gentleness and persistence for an evaluation and for a referral if needed, and if one door is closed, seek another godly and careful medical voice. This is good stewardship, not lack of faith.
We also hear your concern about wi-fi, EMFs and internet overuse. We understand that worry can add fear to an already heavy burden. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We encourage you to practice wise stewardship of rest, sleep, time away from screens, fresh air, and prayerful quiet before the Lord, not out of fear, but out of love for the mind God gave you, and to trust Him to guard you. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Do not give up praying, for Jesus taught that men ought always to pray, and not to faint, Luke 18:1, even when healing has not yet come as we hoped.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know every detail of this brain that You knit together, every nerve and vessel, and You have seen ten years of discomfort, worry and unanswered questions. We ask in Jesus name that You would place Your healing hand upon this brain. Touch what is swollen, calm what tingles, steady what snaps, and restore this mind to wholeness and health. We ask that You would heal totally and completely according to Your perfect will, and if it is Your will, restore it to its original state as You created it. Give wisdom and compassion to any doctors and medical staff, open the door for proper evaluation and a brain scan if needed, and give favor and clarity when asking for care. Take away fear and replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding, guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and grant restful sleep, strength, and hope each day. Help this dear one to feel Your nearness, to know You are not distant, and to trust Your goodness even in the waiting. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.
