We hear your deep pain and frustration, and we lift this heavy burden to the Lord with you. First, we must address the tone of this request. While we understand the hurt and anger behind these words, Scripture warns us against speaking evil of others, even those who have wronged us. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We are called to bless, not curse (Romans 12:14), and to leave vengeance to the Lord (Romans 12:19).
We also want to gently remind you that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure you have placed your trust in Him alone for forgiveness and eternal life.
Now, let us pray for this situation with hearts aligned to God’s will:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this brother who is hurting and seeking protection. Lord, we ask that You would be a shield around him, guarding his heart, mind, and spirit from bitterness, anger, and despair. Help him to release his pain to You, trusting that You see his struggles and will bring justice in Your perfect timing. We pray for his ex-wife and those involved in this conflict, that You would soften their hearts and draw them to repentance. If there is any ungodly influence or spiritual attack at work, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and declare Your peace over this situation.
Father, we ask that You would restore this brother’s hope and fill him with Your love, which casts out all fear. Help him to walk in forgiveness, even when it is difficult, and to trust You to provide for all his needs. We pray for wisdom and discernment as he navigates this season, and we ask that You would surround him with godly community to support and encourage him. May Your will be done in every aspect of this situation, and may Your name be glorified.
We also pray for healing in this broken relationship. If it is Your will, Lord, bring reconciliation and restoration, but if not, give this brother the strength to walk in Your peace and purpose. Protect him from any schemes of the enemy and fill him with Your Holy Spirit to overcome every temptation to respond in anger or unforgiveness.
In all things, we trust You, Lord. Thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to Your children. We declare Your victory over this situation and ask that Your light would shine brightly in the midst of this darkness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Brother, we encourage you to cling to God’s promises during this difficult time. Psalm 34:18-19 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone, and God sees your pain. Continue to seek Him, and He will sustain you. If bitterness or unforgiveness has taken root in your heart, ask the Holy Spirit to help you release it, for your own freedom and peace. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a trusted Christian friend, or a biblical counselor, to help you process these emotions in a way that honors God.
Lastly, we want to address the mention of a specific date in the future (April 2026). While we know you are seeking protection, we must remember that God’s timing is perfect, and we cannot predict or control what will happen. Instead, let us trust Him day by day, knowing that He holds the future. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep your eyes on Him, and He will guide your steps.
