We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with the earnest desire for His justice, mercy, and protection. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). While the pain and frustration caused by this individual’s actions are real and deeply felt, we must remember that our words and prayers should reflect the love and righteousness of Christ, even when confronting evil.

Father God, we stand in the authority of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:15). We rebuke every curse, every scheme of the enemy, and every spirit of jealousy, hatred, and slander that has been directed toward Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You break every chain of oppression, confusion, and fear that has been cast over this situation. Let Your light expose the darkness, and let Your truth prevail in every heart involved.

We pray for the individual who has been causing harm, though her actions are wicked, we recognize that she, too, is a soul in need of Your grace. Lord, we ask that You humble her heart, soften it, and draw her to repentance. If she continues in her ways, we trust in Your justice, for You have said, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19). We do not take matters into our own hands but surrender them to You, knowing that You will act in perfect righteousness. We pray that she would come to know the love of Christ, turn from her ways, and be transformed by Your power.

For the innocent neighbors who have been targeted, we ask for Your divine protection. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them dwell in the shelter of the Most High (Psalm 91:1). Strengthen their faith, fill them with Your peace, and remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Guard their hearts and minds from fear, bitterness, or retaliation, and help them to respond in a manner that honors You. May they shine as lights in the darkness, reflecting Your love even to those who persecute them (Matthew 5:44).

We also lift up the community affected by this situation. Lord, bring unity, discernment, and wisdom to those who are seeking to do what is right. Let Your Holy Spirit move powerfully, exposing lies and bringing truth to light. We declare that no weapon of the enemy will prosper, and that Your kingdom will advance in this place.

Father, we recognize that our words and prayers must align with Your will. While we desire justice, we also ask for Your mercy to prevail. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect ways. Help us to walk in love, even as we stand against evil, and to remember that our ultimate victory is in Christ Jesus.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the One through whom we have access to the Father, and the One in whom we find our salvation. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we can come boldly before Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We hear the anguish in your words, and we don’t take lightly the pain of feeling targeted in your own home. It’s exhausting to face daily harassment and slander, and we are truly sorry you and your neighbors are walking through this.

While we can’t know every detail, we do know that God sees. He cares when the innocent are maligned, and he is not indifferent to cruelty. It can be tempting to want to fight fire with fire, but lasting peace comes from entrusting the situation to the One who judges justly. We’re not suggesting passivity, just a steady, prayerful refusal to become what we oppose.

If you haven’t already, it may help to quietly document each incident with dates and brief descriptions. This isn’t about fueling anger; it keeps you clear-headed and gives you something concrete should you ever need to involve church leaders or, if things escalate, the authorities. Also, lean on your Christian neighbors. Pray together, encourage one another, and avoid isolating yourselves. Harassment loses much of its power when confronted with a calm, united community.

Lord Jesus, we lift this neighborhood to you. We ask that the daily harassment cease and that truth and safety replace fear and slander. Surround these believers with your peace and wisdom. We pray for the person causing harm, that whatever drives this would be stopped, and that you would bring conviction and lasting change. In your name we pray, Amen.

The trouble you have poured out before the Lord is no small thing. To have a neighbour acting as a daily adversary, stalking, slandering, harrying you without cause, that grinds the spirit and wears a groove of grief into the heart. I will not pretend it is nothing. It is a foul thing when a person uses her breath and her days to make life bitter for those who only wish to live peaceably. But let me draw up a chair beside yours in the quiet, and tell you what I know of the Lord who hears you.

Do you recall how the Psalmist cried out, “He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters”? God’s hand is not too short to reach into the midst of this miserable business. It may seem to you that this woman’s malice is a flood sweeping over your doorstep every morning, but the Eternal God has measured its depth and set its limit. He who holds the lightning in his fist, who turns the heart of kings as the rivers of water, is not baffled by a neighbour’s spite. He has permitted this trial, yet he has not abandoned you to it. The very same hand that holds the stars also holds the reins of your enemy’s tongue; and when it pleases him, he can silence it as utterly as he stilled the raging of the sea with a word.

You have asked that her curses be destroyed, and that is a right instinct. But let me show you something sweeter still. The only curse that truly threatens a child of God is the curse of the law, and Christ has become a curse for us. On the cross, the blessed Substitute gathered up every condemning syllable that the law could utter against you, and he bore it away into his own grave, leaving your record clean. If Christ has made you whiter than snow, can any witch’s muttering cling to your soul? No more than a cobweb can hold a stone. The curse that fell on Jesus has exhausted itself in love; so for you, the believer, all cursing is turned to a hollow echo. The enemy may hurl words, but they cannot land where the blood has been sprinkled.

I do not say that the stalking and the slander are not painful. They are. But I would have you see them as the black-edged envelope that carries a love-letter from your Father. He means to teach you the weight of his care, the breadth of his shelter. When a father walks in the dark, he grasps his child’s hand more tightly; he does not tell the little one that the night is full of wonders just then, he simply holds on. So your Lord holds you, silently perhaps, but with a grip that cannot be shaken. The very things you dread are the occasions for him to prove himself faithful again.

Consider too that the Lord often works surprises, things we looked not for. Who knows whether that same power which stilled Saul of Tarsus on the Damascus road might yet arrest this poor woman in her mad career? We are not asked to bless wickedness, but we are called to remember that the chief of sinners has sometimes become the chief of saints. I cannot promise it, but I can pray it. And I can assure you that even now, while she seems to prosper in mischief, she does but walk a path that God has measured; and unless she repent, that path ends in a darkness far more terrible than any she can create for you.

For the present, dear soul, rest in this: the Lord is your defence. No weapon forged against you shall prosper; every tongue that rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. Not because you are strong or clever or good, but because you belong to the One who has already triumphed over all the malice of hell. He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and your cause like the noonday. Leave the reckoning with him; you have only to abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Now let us pray.

O Lord, you see this dear one who has been sorely tried by a neighbour’s malice. You know the daily stalking, the lying words, the heaviness of it all. We do not ask for vengeance, for vengeance belongs to you; but we ask for your mighty interposition. Stretch out your hand and put a stop to this harassment in whatever way seems good to you. Silence the slander, break the snares, and deliver your child from fear. Shelter this household in the hollow of your hand, and let no curse light upon those whom you have blessed in Christ Jesus. Grant, too, a spirit of peace and patience to your servant, a calm so deep that the enemy’s noise sounds far-off and powerless. And if it may be, bring even this troubled soul to repentance and to the knowledge of your Son; for you take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but would rather that all should turn and live. We cast the whole matter upon you, trusting in Jesus’ name. Amen.
