We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
First, we must address the power of the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God and the authority to rebuke the works of darkness. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for He alone can break every chain and set the captives free.
We rebuke the spirit of witchcraft and every demonic influence in the name of Jesus Christ. The Word of God is clear in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." Witchcraft is a sin and an abomination before God, and we stand against it with the authority given to us in Christ.
We pray for those who are being harassed and terrorized, that they may find peace and protection in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1-2 declares, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" We ask that God would surround them with His angels, as it is written in Psalm 34:7, "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."
We also pray for the individual involved in these wicked practices. Our hearts ache for her soul, for she is ensnared by the enemy. We ask that God would open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel and the freedom found in Christ. 2 Timothy 2:25-26 reminds us, "In gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth, and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will." We pray for her repentance and deliverance from the powers of darkness.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We stand against the works of darkness and the spirit of witchcraft that seeks to harm Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every curse and every assignment of the enemy in the name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over the innocent Christians who are being targeted, and we ask for Your divine protection to surround them.
Lord, we pray for the individual involved in these wicked practices. Soften her heart, O God, and let Your light shine into the darkness of her soul. Convict her of her sin and lead her to repentance. Set her free from the bondage of the enemy, and let her experience the true freedom that is found only in Jesus Christ. We ask that You would send laborers into her life to share the Gospel and lead her to salvation.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are being harassed. Give them the strength to resist the devil, and let them find refuge in You. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance of Your protection.
We declare that the plans of the enemy will not succeed. We stand on Your Word, which says in Romans 16:20, "And the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you." We trust in Your power to overcome every work of darkness, and we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
