We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation with the understanding that all things must align with His Word and His will. First, we must address the matter of the relationship described here. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning. Genesis 2:24 states, *"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh."* Any relationship outside of this design, including same-sex relationships, is not in accordance with God’s holy standards. Romans 1:26-27 warns, *"For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."*
We must also address the mention of a "boyfriend" in this context. If this is referring to an unmarried couple living together in a sexual relationship, this is fornication, which Scripture condemns. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* If this is the case, we urge repentance and a turning away from sin, seeking God’s forgiveness and transformation through the power of Jesus Christ.
Now, regarding the eviction, we pray for peace and provision. The Lord knows the needs of all involved, and we ask that He move mightily in this situation. Psalm 37:25 reminds us, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* We trust that God will provide a way forward, even in difficult circumstances. However, we must also acknowledge that God’s justice and righteousness must prevail. If there has been wrongdoing—whether in the relationship, in financial dealings, or in other areas—we pray for conviction, repentance, and restoration.
We lift this situation to the Lord, asking for His mercy and grace to cover all involved. We pray that the individuals would seek God’s face, turn from any sin, and find their hope and identity in Christ alone. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will in this situation. Lord, we ask for Your peace to surround those who are facing eviction. Provide for their needs, open doors of opportunity, and guide them to a place of stability. We pray for wisdom and discernment for all involved, that they would make decisions that honor You.
Father, we also ask for Your conviction to fall upon hearts where there is sin. If there are relationships or lifestyles that do not align with Your Word, we pray for repentance and transformation. Soften hearts to receive Your truth, and lead them into the freedom that comes only through Jesus Christ. Help them to see the beauty of Your design for marriage and relationships, and give them the strength to walk in obedience to You.
Lord, we ask for Your miraculous intervention in this situation. Move in ways that only You can, bringing resolution, peace, and provision. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may those involved come to know You more deeply through this trial. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.
We encourage those involved to seek the Lord with all their hearts, to study His Word, and to surround themselves with godly counsel. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Turn to Him, repent of your sins, and find true life in Christ.
