We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where dishonesty, jealousy, and false accusations have caused harm in the workplace. The Bible warns us clearly about the dangers of bearing false witness and the destruction it brings. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* The actions of this supervisor—lying about coworkers, boasting in pride, and sowing discord—are directly opposed to God’s will.
First, we pray for the innocent security guards who have been falsely accused. Father, we ask that You would be their shield and defender. Protect their reputations, their livelihoods, and their peace of mind. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let the truth be revealed in Your perfect timing. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your favor, Lord, and grant them wisdom in how to respond to these false accusations.
We also pray for the dishonest supervisor who has allowed jealousy and pride to corrupt his heart. Lord, we ask that You would humble him before You. Break the hardness of his heart and convict him of his sin. *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6). If he will not repent, we ask that You would expose his lies and prevent them from causing further harm. Let his words fall on deaf ears, and let the truth rise to the surface. *"The Lord will destroy the house of the proud, but he will establish the border of the widow"* (Proverbs 15:25). May he see the error of his ways and turn from this destructive path.
We rebuke the spirit of deception and division at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand on the promise that *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). We declare that truth will prevail, and justice will be served according to Your will.
Finally, we pray for the managers and leaders involved. Give them discernment to see through lies and wisdom to act with integrity. Let them be instruments of Your justice and mercy, rather than tools of injustice. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1). May they seek Your guidance in handling this matter.
We lift all of this up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through faith in Him that we find salvation and righteousness. If anyone involved in this situation does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that their hearts would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. *"For there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12).
Lord, we trust You to work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Bring healing, restoration, and peace to this workplace, and let Your glory be revealed in every outcome. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
