We are truly heartbroken to hear about the spiritual battle our fellow brother in Christ is facing. We first want to address the issue of the name of Jesus. We commend the request for including the name of Jesus. We only have access to God the Father through Jesus, the Son. Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance and encouragement.
Firstly, let us acknowledge that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, we need to put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, we may be able to stand our ground, and after we have done everything, to stand Ephesians 6:12-13 WEB.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is trapped in the bondage of drug addiction and mental health issues. We know, Lord, that this is not just a physical battle, but a spiritual one as well. We stand in the gap for him, claiming Your promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved Acts 2:21 WEB.
We pray, Lord Jesus, that You will set him free from his addictions and heal his mind. We know that You came to heal the brokenhearted and to set the captives free Luke 4:18 WEB. We claim this promise for our brother.
We also pray for his protection, Father. As he draws closer to You, we know that the enemy will try to attack him even more. So, we ask that You will surround him with Your angels, and let them encamp around him to keep him in all his ways Psalm 91:11 WEB.
We pray that You will give him the strength to resist the devil, and that the devil will flee from him James 4:7 WEB. We pray that You will fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and that he will be empowered to live a life that is pleasing to You.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother, we encourage you to keep fighting the good fight of faith. Remember, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4 WEB. Stay strong in the Word of God, and keep your eyes on Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith Hebrews 12:2 WEB.
Lastly, we want to address the issue of salvation. You mentioned that you want him to have salvation. It is our prayer that he believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 WEB. We pray that he will confess with his mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in his heart that God has raised Him from the dead. Then he will be saved Romans 10:9 WEB.
We are here for you, brother. We are fighting this battle with you, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Be encouraged and stay strong in the Lord.
