We join together in lifting up this request for thanksgiving and continued provision, giving all glory to God for the scanning job He has provided. It is right to give Him thanks in all things, for every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow (James 1:17). We praise Him for His faithfulness, knowing that He supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Yet we must also address something of great importance in this request: the name of Jesus Christ is not invoked. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray and receive answers. Without the name of Jesus, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from our relationship with Him. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence (Hebrews 4:16).
Now, with hearts aligned in the name of Jesus, we pray for the next steps in this employment journey. We ask the Lord to open the door for a second interview for the job you sought, granting you favor in the sight of those making the decision. May the Lord go before you, preparing the way and softening hearts so that His will may be done. If this job is part of His plan, we pray that you will receive the offer and that it will be a blessing—not just financially, but also as an opportunity to glorify God through your work. Let your labor be done as unto the Lord, with excellence and integrity (Colossians 3:23).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Not every open door is from the Lord, so we ask that if this opportunity is not aligned with His will, He would close it clearly and redirect your steps. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Father, we thank You for Your provision and for the scanning job You have already granted. We ask for Your continued favor in this next opportunity, that it may come to pass if it is Your will. Give strength, confidence, and clarity of mind during any interviews, and let Your peace guard every thought and decision. May this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may all glory be given to Your name. We pray this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
