We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear friend who is undergoing major surgery today. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. We ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team with Your divine wisdom and precision. Let every step of this procedure go smoothly, without complication, and according to Your perfect will. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we pray for a swift and easy recovery. Strengthen their body, renew their energy, and grant them comfort in the days ahead. Surround them with Your presence, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May they feel Your love and peace in every moment, trusting in Your faithfulness.
We also lift up their family and loved ones, asking that You grant them patience, hope, and unwavering faith as they wait and care for their friend. Remind them that You are in control, and Your plans are for good, not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may try to take root in their hearts. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promises, believing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

We're also praying for your friend's family, that they may find comfort and strength in the Lord's embrace.
