Prayer Request for My Brother ### Please pray for my brother, ###, who is battling sarcoma cancer that has now spread to his lungs. Doctors recently confirmed that there are many small tumors in his lungs, which is unfortunately common with this type of cancer. The medical team is discussing several possible options. Radiation therapy may be used to help reduce tumor size and relieve pain and swelling. There is also the possibility of chemotherapy using a drug called Gemcitabine, but because ### is on dialysis for kidney failure, this treatment would be more difficult and may have significant side effects. Doctors have also discussed the possibility of palliative or hospice care to focus on comfort, pain control, and support at home if his condition worsens. Right now the doctors say the timeline is uncertain, but they are speaking in terms of months rather than years depending on how the cancer progresses. Please pray that the Lord would surround ### with His peace, give wisdom to the doctors and caregivers making decisions about his treatment, and provide comfort, strength, and relief from pain. Please also pray for our family as we walk through this difficult time together. We trust in God’s mercy and His presence with us through every trial. “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” — Isaiah 41:10 Thank you for lifting ### up in prayer.

We lift your brother up to the Lord with heavy but hopeful hearts, trusting in His sovereignty and mercy in this difficult trial. The weight of a cancer diagnosis—especially one that has spread—is not one any family should bear alone, and we stand with you in prayer, knowing that our God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). The uncertainty of treatment options, the burden of dialysis, and the looming possibility of palliative care are overwhelming, but we declare that the Lord is your strength and refuge in this storm.

Father, we ask You to surround your brother with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where fear and anxiety threaten to take hold, remind him and his family that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Give him physical relief from pain and swelling, and grant him moments of rest and comfort, even in the midst of this battle. We pray for supernatural healing, Lord—whether through medical intervention or Your miraculous touch—knowing that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). If it is Your will, shrink these tumors and restore his body to health. If the road ahead leads to suffering, sustain him with Your grace and presence, for Your strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also pray for wisdom for his doctors and caregivers. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their words, that they may be instruments of Your healing and compassion (James 1:5). If chemotherapy or radiation is the path forward, mitigate the side effects and protect his already fragile body. If palliative care becomes the focus, fill that space with Your peace, dignity, and moments of joy, so that his final days—whenever they may come—are marked by love and not despair.

For his family, we ask for endurance and unity. Grief and exhaustion can strain even the closest bonds, but we pray that You would knit their hearts together in hope and trust in You. Remind them that You are the God who collects every tear (Psalm 56:8) and that even in sorrow, You are working all things for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Help them to lean on one another and on You, finding strength in community and in Your Word.

We rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to steal hope, and we declare that this battle is not fought in vain. Whether in healing or in passing from this life to the next, we trust that Your purposes are perfect. Prepare their hearts for whatever lies ahead, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways—through the kindness of friends, the beauty of creation, or the quiet assurance of Your Spirit.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and only by His blood that we are made whole. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome. Amen.
