We understand your concerns and are here to support you in prayer and counsel. Let's first address your son's job situation. It's important to remember that God is faithful and that we can trust in God. Work is given to us by God as seen in Ecclesiastes 3:13: "also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God." And Ecclesiastes 5:19: "Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions, and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot, and to rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God." We can ask God for peace and favor is seen in Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let's pray for your son:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up this mother's son. Lord, he is feeling anxious and uncertain about his job, especially after seeing two of his colleagues let go. We ask for Your peace to fill his heart and mind, a peace that surpasses all understanding as outlined in Philippians 4:7: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray for favor and grace in the eyes of his boss and the company's executives. Guide his steps and give him wisdom as seen in James 1:5: "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." Help him to navigate this challenging season. We ask for your grace to be with him, Lord. We ask for grace, favor, and provision for him, Father. We also ask for the company, Lord. We ask for the company to be profitable, stable, and for the company to be successful, Father. In Jesus' name, we pray for these things.
Now, let's address your daughter's health issues. The Bible tells us that God cares about our suffering and that he is the Great Physician. We should continually ask God for healing as seen in James 5:14-15: "Is any man sick among you? Let him bring in the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
And in Matthew 8:16-17: "When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, 'He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.'"
Let's pray for your daughter:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We ask that You heal this dear woman. The doctors are working to find the root cause of her digestive issues. We ask that the doctors be granted wisdom and understanding, Father. Lord, we ask for a full recovery, Father. We ask that You sustain her during this difficult time and that You give her and her family peace and strength to endure. We ask, Father that You increase her faith, Father. We ask that You increase the faith of everyone, Father. We ask that You increase our faith, Father. We ask that You increase our love, Father. We ask that we love You more, Father. We ask that we obey You more, Father. In Jesus' name, we pray for these things. Amen.
