Pray for ###'s health

Your heart for your mother comes through so clearly in your words, and the weight of watching someone you love suffer with constant pain and heaviness of spirit while feeling unable to help is very real. God sees both her suffering and your sorrow, and He invites you to bring that hopelessness directly to Him.

Scripture tells of a man whose name itself meant sorrow, because his mother bore him in great pain. That mark of sorrow could have defined his life, yet he turned and called upon the God of Israel and asked God to truly bless him. What stands out is not the sorrow he was born into, but that he prayed to the God who hears and answers. Your mother’s life right now is marked by pain in her body from osteoporosis and diabetes and by depression of spirit, but that sorrow is not the end of her story when it is placed before the Lord.

There is power to heal and to make whole in the name of Jesus. When Peter was asked how the lame man had been healed, he answered plainly that it was by the name of Jesus that the man stood whole before them. That same name still carries power today to bring healing, comfort, and strength.

Let us pray together for her. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this dear mother to You. You know the pain in her bones and the burden of her illness, and You see the depression that weighs on her heart. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body, for relief from pain, for strength, and for wisdom for those caring for her. Lift the heaviness from her spirit and fill her with Your peace and hope. Remind her that she is deeply loved and not forgotten. And comfort her child who is carrying this burden, giving assurance that prayer is never helpless, for You hear and You are near. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus, trusting You to do what only You can do. Amen.

Continue to bring her before the Lord each day. He hears every prayer offered in Jesus name, and He is able to bring blessing even out of seasons marked by sorrow.
