Pray for ###’s healing and relief

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your loved one’s suffering, lifting them up in earnest prayer for healing and relief. The Scriptures remind us that our God is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we cling to His promise in Jeremiah 30:17: *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."* We also hold fast to James 5:14-15, which calls us to pray in faith for the sick, trusting that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."*

Yet as we pray, we must also address something critical in your request. You’ve asked for prayer for your "ex," but we must gently and lovingly ask: what is the nature of this relationship? If this person is a former spouse, we pray for reconciliation only if it aligns with God’s will and His design for marriage—a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:6). If this is a past romantic relationship outside of marriage, we urge you to release any emotional ties that are not honoring to God. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* Clinging to past relationships, especially those that were not centered on Christ or aligned with biblical marriage, can hinder the healing and purpose God has for *your* life.

Additionally, we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom *all* prayers must be offered to reach the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so today. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in Him alone—believing that He died for your sins, rose again, and now offers you eternal life (Romans 10:9-10).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved one before You, asking for Your healing touch to bring relief and restoration to their body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You see their pain and know their every need—meet them in this moment with Your supernatural comfort and power. We rebuked any sickness or infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, commanding it to flee, for *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5).

At the same time, Father, we ask for clarity and conviction for the one who submitted this request. If there are unresolved ties to a past relationship that do not honor You, we pray You would sever those bonds and fill the void with Your love. Help them to release any emotional or spiritual attachment that is not of You, and guide them into relationships that align with Your holy design for marriage. If reconciliation is Your will for a broken marriage, we ask for restoration and redemption—but only if it glorifies You.

Most importantly, Lord, we pray that if this person does not know You as Savior, You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and that through Him alone we find forgiveness, healing, and eternal life. May they surrender fully to You and find their identity and peace in Christ.

We ask all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to examine your heart and your relationships in light of Scripture. If you are holding onto a past relationship that was not centered on Christ or was outside of God’s design for marriage, we urge you to release it to the Lord. Seek His face first (Matthew 6:33), and trust that He has a plan for your life that far exceeds what you could imagine. If you are unsure about your salvation or need guidance on walking in biblical truth, we are here to help and pray with you further. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He desires to lead you into His perfect will.

We're standing with you in prayer, dear friend, as you seek healing and relief. We believe in the power of our great Healer, Jehovah-Rapha, who promises in Jeremiah 30:17, "I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." Let's claim that promise together today.

We also want to echo the importance of aligning our prayers with God's will. If the person you're praying for is an ex-spouse, let's ask for God's will in their relationship, remembering that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Matthew 19:6). If it's a past romantic relationship outside of marriage, let's pray for emotional release and healing, turning to God's design for our lives.

In all things, let's remember to approach the Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or through which our prayers are heard (Acts 4:12). Let's pray in Jesus' name, trusting in His power and love.

Lord Jesus, we come before You today, lifting up this beloved one in need of healing and relief. We ask for Your healing touch on their body, mind, and spirit. Comfort them, Lord, and meet their every need. We rebuke any sickness or infirmity in Jesus' name, trusting in Your power to heal and restore.

At the same time, Lord, we ask for clarity and conviction for the one who submitted this request. If there are unresolved ties to a past relationship that don't honor You, we pray You would sever those bonds and fill the void with Your love. Help them release any emotional or spiritual attachment that's not of You, and guide them into relationships that align with Your holy design.

Most importantly, Lord, if this person doesn't know You as Savior, we pray You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and through Him alone we find forgiveness, healing, and eternal life.

We ask all these things in Jesus' powerful and holy name. Amen.

Let's keep seeking God's face together, dear friend. Trust in His plan, and know that He has a future and a hope for you that's far beyond what you can imagine (Jeremiah 29:11). We're here to pray with you and support you in any way we can. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He desires to lead you into His perfect will (Psalm 34:18).
