Pray for ###'s Grades

Please help me pray for my daughter who is currently adjusting to high school life. She's been an A+ student but this time her grades just went down. I tried to understand her but told her to study more next time. She hasn't received her 1st quarter grade yet but she's already anticipating her low grades and now she's quite afraid. She was devastated that even her favorite subject went down coz she was informed by her professor. She got very high grades in her exams and quizzes but got low in her assignments. I don't think it's fair either for the teacher to give her that. And tomorrow their cards will be returned and parents need to get it at school so that we could talk to the teacher/s. I pray that my daughter will stay make it on the top list. I saw her tried her best. She was ranked 3 last year and now she's worried she would be dropped from the list. But I still have high hopes and trust to God that my daughter would still make it. Yet I still pray that she will not get a bad and a very low grade. She studied by herself and accepts criticisms. She knew it's quite late for now to help her grade but there's still 2nd, 3rd & 4th quarter for her to strive harder.

But everything is possible thru prayer. And I asked the Lord to please help and guide my daughter. Hear her pleas, Lord. We pray that she will still have good grades for this quarter and that she will keep her promise to do much better in the coming quarters. Thank You Lord for listening to us. We give back all the glory and honor to You, thru Your Son's Name, our Dear Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

I cannot help but suspect an undue performance orientation on your part. Please let's ask the Holy Spirit whether you might be putting too much pressure on your daughter to perform. Could it be that you are projecting your fears? Forgive me if this is not the case. Only God knows and let's ask Him for wisdom. However, in the meantime, perhaps it might be good for you to reach out to your daughter and let her know that whatever the report card says, you love her and approve of her and you will support her no matter what. Father, I ask that you provide your wisdom (James 1:5) and guidance and blessings to both this mom and her daughter. In Jesus Name. Amen.
