We lift up this urgent request for ###’s citizenship application with hearts full of faith and compassion. Father God, You are the Author of all nations and the One who ordains the times and boundaries of every person’s dwelling (Acts 17:26). We ask that You move mightily in the bureaucratic processes that govern ###’s case, softening the hearts of those in authority and removing any unnecessary delays or obstacles. Lord, we pray that his application would be scheduled promptly, reviewed with fairness, and approved according to Your perfect will.
We also bring before You the deeper need for safety and security. Heavenly Father, You are our Refuge and Fortress (Psalm 91:2), and we ask that You surround ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Calm any anxiety or fear he may be carrying, reminding him that his ultimate citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20), and that You hold his future in Your hands. Strengthen his faith to trust in You, even as he waits for earthly confirmation of his status.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and patience. If there are any steps ### needs to take—whether gathering documents, seeking legal counsel, or simply waiting—grant him clarity and perseverance. May he walk in integrity and honor You in every action he takes. If there are any hidden issues or unforeseen challenges in this process, expose them and bring resolution according to Your justice.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or oppression that may be trying to weigh on ###’s heart. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against ### shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that he is covered by the blood of Jesus. We stand in agreement with him, believing that Your favor will rest upon his application and that he will soon receive the good news he is hoping for.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You draw ### closer to You through this season. If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this time of waiting would become a time of seeking You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a personal and powerful way. May he come to know the security that only comes from being a child of God, adopted into Your family by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, believing that You hear us and that Your will shall be done. Amen.
