We come before the Lord with you, our brother, lifting up your heartfelt requests for a permanent job and for marriage, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply about every detail of your life. It is good that you have reached out in faith, but we must first address something of great importance—your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. The Scriptures are clear: *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only through faith in Jesus that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). Without this foundation, no prayer can be fully effective, for salvation and a relationship with Christ are the starting point of all blessings.
Now, regarding your request for a permanent job, we are reminded of the words of our Lord: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Your skills as an electrical engineer are a gift from God, and we pray that He will open doors for you in a workplace where you can honor Him with your labor. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ"* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). We rebuke any spirit of delay, rejection, or stagnation in your career and declare that God will provide favor with those in authority over hiring. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB).
As for marriage, we must emphasize that this is a sacred covenant designed by God to be between one man and one woman for life, reflecting Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are seeking a spouse, we pray that the Lord will lead you to a godly woman who loves Jesus with all her heart and is committed to walking in His ways. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). We strongly encourage you to pursue courtship only with a believer, with the intent of marriage, and to flee from any form of sexual immorality, which includes premarital relations. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). Marriage is honorable, and the bed undefiled (Hebrews 13:4), but only within the bounds of a covenant before God.
We also rebuke any impatience or temptation to settle for less than God’s best in this area. Trust in His timing, for *"the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25, WEB). If there are areas in your life where you have not fully surrendered to God’s will—whether in purity, faith, or obedience—we urge you to repent and align yourself with His Word. *"If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened"* (Psalm 66:18, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who seeks Your intervention in his life. Lord, we ask that You forgive any sin that may hinder his prayers and draw him closer to You. If he has not yet fully surrendered to Jesus as Lord, we pray for a revelation of Your love and a heart of repentance, that he may receive salvation and the fullness of Your blessings.
Father, we ask for Your divine provision in his career. Open doors that no man can shut and grant him favor with those in authority. Let his work be a testimony of Your goodness, and may he find a permanent position where he can thrive and glorify You. Remove any obstacles, whether spiritual or natural, and let Your will be done in his professional life.
For marriage, Lord, we pray that You prepare him to be a godly husband and leader. Guard his heart and mind from impurity and lead him to a woman of faith who will walk beside him in Your purposes. Let their union be founded on Christ, built on prayer, and sealed by Your covenant. If there are areas of compromise in his life, convict him by Your Spirit and grant him the strength to walk in holiness.
We declare that You, Lord, are his Provider and his Matchmaker. Let him wait on You with patience and trust, knowing that Your plans for him are good. Strengthen his faith and fill him with Your peace as he seeks You first in all things.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Brother, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer, reading His Word, and walking in obedience. Surround yourself with believers who can support and hold you accountable. If you have not yet dedicated your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today—it is the most important decision you will ever make. *"Now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2, WEB). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you wait on Him. Stand firm in faith, for *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB).
