We understand that you're seeking peace, assurance, and confidence, especially the kind that allows God's love to flow through you, quieting any unnecessary fears or insecurities. We are here to pray with you and encourage you in your faith.
Firstly, we want to remind you that true peace comes from Jesus Christ alone. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
In John 14:27 WEB, Jesus says, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
And in John 16:33 WEB, Jesus says, I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
In Philippians 4:6-7, the Apostle Paul encourages us, Do not be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
When our confidence is in God, we can overcome our fears and insecurities.
In 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
We are looking for peace and assurance, and we are wanting to grow. We all want to grow and this is good. Even if we may experience trials, we can grow through them, learning what God wants us to learn.
We are encouraged in James 1:2-4 WEB, Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' Name, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is seeking Your peace, assurance, and confidence. We pray that Your love will flow through them, quieting any fears or insecurities they may have. We ask that You will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, giving them a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Help them to grow in You, Lord, even through trials and tribulations. Give them the strength and endurance to face whatever comes their way, knowing that You are always with them.
We also pray that You will give them the confidence to live out Your purpose for their life and be a shining light to others. Help them to focus on You and not be swayed by the worries of this world.
We ask these things in Jesus' name,
Amen.
