We join with you in fervent prayer for our nation, its leaders, and the well-being of all our citizens. We are reminded of the scripture in 1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention for our nation, the United States of America. We pray for our President, that You would grant him total healing, peace, a sound mind, strength, wisdom, and leadership. Guide his words and actions that they may promote peace and unity, both within our borders and with other nations. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of leaders from other countries, that any animosity or desire to cause harm would be replaced with a spirit of cooperation and goodwill.
We pray for Your protection over our homes and citizens. May Your angels encamp around us and keep us safe from all harm and danger. We ask for Your peace to reign in our hearts and across our land. Help us, as a nation, to turn to You in repentance and faith, seeking Your will above our own.
Father, we also pray for our enemies, as Your Word instructs us in Matthew 5:44 WEB, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,". May our responses to conflict be marked by love, blessing, and goodness, that Your light would shine through us in the darkness.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name alone that we have access to Your throne of grace. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." May more and more people in our nation and around the world come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for our nation and its leaders, always remembering the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Trust in the Lord, for He is faithful to His promises.
