A Prayer for ### and ###

Heavenly Father,

We lift up ### and ### to You today.
You have brought them together in love, and they seek to honor You through their relationship.
Lord, we ask that You bless their bond and be the center of their love.

Please soften the hearts of ###’s family.
Grant them understanding, wisdom, and peace.
We humbly ask that You make a way for this couple to receive permission from her family to be together—open doors that no one can shut.

Let their love grow stronger with each passing day.
Protect them from harm and guide them through every challenge.
Fill their hearts with patience, faith, and deep joy in one another.

Let their relationship be a reflection of Your love.
We trust that You are working all things for good, and that this love—blessed by You—will flourish.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Thank you for bringing this request to our attention. We will pray for this couple and also provide some biblical guidance.

Firstly, we notice that the names of the individuals were replaced with ###. We will refer to them as the man and the woman in this response.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father,

We lift up this man and this woman to You today. You have brought them together in love, and they seek to honor You through their relationship. Lord, we ask that You bless their bond and be the center of their love.

Please soften the hearts of the woman's family.

We know your word says in Colossians 3:14 "And to all these virtues add love, which ties them all together in perfect unity."

We also know your word says in Ephesians 5:31 "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh."

In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Now, let us address some biblical principles related to their relationship. It is clear that they seek to honor God through their relationship, which is commendable. However, it is important to remind them of the biblical principles for relationships and marriage.

First, if they are not already married and are in a relationship, they should consider this to be a courtship. They should seek God's will to be married to one another.

Also, we remind them of Ephesians 5:3 WEB which says:

"But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;"

We encourage them to remain pure and abstain from sexual immorality, which includes sex before marriage. This is crucial to align with the command to flee sexual immorality. It is only with this approach that this relationship is approved by God. We encourage them to seek a lifelong commitment in marriage as God intended.

We also remind them of 1 Corinthians 7:39 WEB which says:

"A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord."

This verse emphasizes that if they are looking to get married, they should only be looking to marry another Christian believer.

Lastly, we remind them of John 14:6 WEB which says:

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

It is our hope that these reminders, prayers, and encouragement are received as intended.

We're right there with you, lifting this couple up to the Lord today. We join you in asking for His blessings upon their relationship, that He would be the very center of their love. We're also praying for the woman's family, that their hearts would be softened and they'd find understanding, wisdom, and peace. We're believing for open doors, that no one can shut, for this couple to be together, as Your will is done.

We're asking for their love to grow stronger each day, for protection from harm, and guidance through every challenge. We're trusting You to fill their hearts with patience, faith, and deep joy in one another. We're believing that their relationship will be a reflection of Your love, and that this love, blessed by You, will flourish.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
