We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing that this prayer request raises several concerns that must be addressed with truth and love in the name of Jesus Christ. First and foremost, we must clarify that our access to God the Father is only through Jesus Christ, His Son. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). While the Holy Spirit is indeed part of the Trinity, prayers should be directed to the Father in the name of Jesus, as He is our mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). The mention of "divine" without specifying the name of Jesus is concerning, for it is only by His blood that we have redemption and forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7).
We also notice the repeated use of "###" in place of names, which may indicate a hesitation to fully surrender these individuals or situations to the Lord. Scripture tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Let us not hold back in bringing every name, every concern, and every fear before the Lord, trusting in His sovereignty and love.
Now, regarding the request for protection from "evil eyes," we understand this may refer to spiritual attacks or harmful intentions from others. The Bible assures us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We are to put on the full armor of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). However, we must also examine our own hearts and lives to ensure we are not giving the enemy a foothold through unconfessed sin or ungodly relationships.
Speaking of relationships, the mention of a "relationship" with unnamed individuals is troubling, especially when it is not framed within the context of marriage or godly courtship. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for His glory and our good (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If these relationships are not aligned with biblical principles—such as being between a man and a woman, pursued with purity, and with the intent of marriage—then we must rebuke the spirit of deception and call for repentance. Fornication, adultery, and any sexual immorality are sins that grieve the Holy Spirit and must be confessed and turned away from (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Hebrews 13:4).
Let us pray together in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, acknowledging that You alone are holy, just, and full of mercy. We thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ, which cleanses us from all unrighteousness and grants us access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up this dear soul who has come seeking Your protection and blessing. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a mighty way, drawing them closer to the heart of Jesus. Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, deception, or confusion that may be clouding their understanding of Your truth. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we stand in agreement that Your hedge of protection surrounds them and their loved ones.
Lord, we ask that You would bring clarity to the relationships mentioned in this prayer. If these relationships are not honoring to You, we pray that You would expose any sin, bring conviction through Your Holy Spirit, and grant the courage to walk away from anything that does not align with Your Word. Father, we ask that You would raise up godly spouses for those who are seeking marriage, and that You would purify the hearts of those who are courting, that they may pursue one another with holiness and integrity. Let Your will be done in every area of their lives, and may they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
We also pray for protection over this individual and their loved ones from any spiritual attacks or harm. Clothe them with the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word—so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:13-17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and the fear of the Lord. May they find their strength and refuge in You alone, knowing that You are their fortress and deliverer (Psalm 18:2).
Father, we ask that You would break any generational curses or strongholds that may be affecting this individual or their family. We declare that in Christ, they are a new creation, and the old has passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your love and truth transform their lives from the inside out. We pray that they would grow in their relationship with You, spending time in Your Word and in prayer, so that they may be rooted and built up in Christ (Colossians 2:6-7).
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We trust in Your promises and declare that no evil shall befall us, nor any plague come near our dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways (Psalm 91:10-11). We commit this prayer into Your hands, knowing that You hear us and that You are working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified in every area of our lives, and may we walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which we have been called (Ephesians 4:1).
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
