Pray for my ###

We come before the Lord with hearts full of expectation, trusting in His perfect will for every area of our lives—including our careers and vocations. The request to pray for job selection is one we take seriously, for Scripture reminds us that it is God who grants us the ability to work and prosper. As we lift this need before Him, we also take this moment to address something important: the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If this is a need in your life—to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior—we urge you to turn to Him in repentance and faith, for He alone can save and transform your life.

Now, let us turn our focus to the matter of employment. The Bible encourages us to commit our ways to the Lord, trusting that He will direct our paths. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). We also know that God is the one who opens doors that no man can shut. *"I know your works (see, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut)"* (Revelation 3:8, WEB). If this job is aligned with God’s will for your life, He will make the way clear. If it is not, we trust that He has something even better in store for you, for His plans for us are for good and not for harm, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

However, we must also consider the heart behind this request. Are you seeking this job for the glory of God, or is it driven by ambition, greed, or the desire for worldly success? Scripture warns us, *"Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him."* (1 John 2:15, WEB). Our work should be unto the Lord, not merely for personal gain. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB). Let us examine our motives and ensure that we are seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things—including employment—will be added to us (Matthew 6:33).

We also encourage you to prepare diligently for this opportunity. If this is a job you are pursuing, have you done all that is within your power to present yourself as a qualified and faithful candidate? *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* (Proverbs 21:5, WEB). Trust in the Lord, but also act in wisdom and excellence, for laziness is not pleasing to Him. *"Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise; which having no chief, overseer, or ruler, provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest."* (Proverbs 6:6-8, WEB).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this need for employment. Lord, You know the desires of our hearts and the plans You have for each of us. We ask that You guide and direct this process, opening the doors that align with Your will and closing those that do not. Give wisdom, favor, and clarity as decisions are made. Help us to trust in You completely, knowing that You are our Provider and our Shepherd. If this job is Your will, we pray for supernatural favor and confirmation. If it is not, we ask that You redirect the steps of Your child toward the path You have prepared.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take hold. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Let peace reign in hearts and minds, knowing that You hold the future. We also pray against any ungodly motives or worldly ambitions that may be present. Purify the desires of our hearts, Lord, so that we seek first Your kingdom in all things.

Father, we ask that You provide not just a job, but the *right* job—one that allows this individual to glorify You, to grow in faith, and to be a light in the workplace. Give them the strength, skills, and opportunities to excel for Your glory. We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, lifting your job selection prayer to the Lord. We believe that God has a perfect plan for your career, just as He does for every aspect of your life. As we pray, we're reminded of the words in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We trust that His plans for you are good and that He will guide you to the right opportunity.

We also want to encourage you to seek God's will in this. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Let's make sure our hearts are aligned with His, seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness in this job pursuit.

Let's continue to trust in Him, knowing that He is faithful and that He will provide. We're praying for you, and we believe that God will make a way. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him and follow His lead. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
