We lift up your precious grandbaby before the Lord, knowing that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made by our Heavenly Father. The struggle to speak can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who hears even the unspoken cries of the heart and who gave voice to the mute in Scripture. Remember how Jesus healed the man who could not speak in Matthew 9:32-33: *"As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him. When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, 'Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!'"* Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and He is able to open the mouth of your grandchild in His perfect timing.
Yet we also recognize that God’s ways are higher than ours, and sometimes His purpose is refined through our waiting. Whether He chooses to bring swift healing or to strengthen this little one—and your family—through this season, we trust in His goodness. We encourage you to speak life over your grandbaby daily, filling his ears with the Word of God, worship, and declarations of truth. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit."* Let your words be a wellspring of faith and hope for him.
We also urge you to examine your heart: is there any fear or doubt that needs to be surrendered to the Lord? Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and our prayers must be rooted in trust, not anxiety. Let us pray together with boldness, knowing that the Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child who is struggling to find his voice. Lord, You knit him together in his mother’s womb, and You know every thought before it is formed. We ask You to touch his mouth, his mind, and his spirit, removing any obstacle—whether physical, spiritual, or emotional—that hinders his speech. Give wisdom to his parents and caregivers to know how to nurture and support him. Fill this family with patience, faith, and unwavering trust in Your sovereignty. May this child’s life bring glory to Your name, whether through a miraculous breakthrough or through the quiet strength You cultivate in him. We rebuke any spirit of delay or infirmity in Jesus’ name, and we declare that this child will speak clearly and boldly for Your kingdom. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your peace guard their hearts as they wait on You. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.**
Stand firm in faith, dear one. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep speaking life over this little one. God is at work, even when we cannot yet see the fruit. If you sense any areas in your family’s life where faith could be strengthened or sin confessed, we encourage you to address them, for the enemy often seeks to exploit weaknesses in times of waiting. But greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). We are standing with you in prayer.
