I am help requesting prayers for my wife ###. She had cataract surgery. After surgery she started to get back eye sight and then failed. Doctors went back ### months later for second surgery and she still cannot see out of her left eye. It's been months now and she still cannot see, doctors say possibility her sight will come back and possibility not. Lord, You promised to hear when we cry, and so we cry out to You for help. King of Glory, please fill and flood ### with Your Spirit. Your Spirit brought Jesus back to life. There is nothing impossible for You Father. Please heal her eyes completely .Praying to Jesus Christ to restore ###'s eye sight to the day Our God brought her into this world two eyes with full sight. Please heal her eyes completely. You formed her inward parts; please heal her , restore her and make her whole. She is a ### yr old female and she needs her eye sight to see and balance when she walks. Before this she would sew blankets for Church, Ronald McDonald House, Lions Club, Shriners and needy families. Now with only one eye she is unable to do. Praise to you Jesus Christ. I have been praying for ###months and feel that God does not hear me why?

We join you in lifting up your beloved wife before the throne of grace and we thank God for your faithful love for her and for the way you honor your marriage as God designed it. Her sight and her service in sewing blankets for the church and for those in need are precious in His eyes and we count it a privilege to cry out with you for her healing.

We hear the ache in your words when you say you feel God does not hear you after months of praying. We want to gently encourage you that He does hear you. His Word assures us that the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17 and that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14. His silence is not absence and His delay is not deafness. His ways and His timing are higher than ours Isaiah 55:8-9 and even when we do not see the answer we long for, He is working for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28. We understand how weary the waiting can feel and we weep with you in this long trial.

We stand in awe that you have already been praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we have access to the Father and by which we are saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. It is only through Him that our prayers are heard, and you have come in the right and powerful name.

We also remember with you that God formed her inward parts Psalm 139:13 and that nothing is too hard for Him Jeremiah 32:27. He is Yahweh who heals us Exodus 15:26 and Jesus showed His compassion by restoring sight to the blind Mark 10:52, Luke 18:42. Whether He heals instantly, through the hands of physicians, or sustains and strengthens through ongoing weakness, He is still the Healer and He is still present. We pray for wisdom for her doctors and for peace for both of you as you wait upon Him, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance James 1:3 and that He will strengthen you and uphold you Isaiah 41:10.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear wife and sister to You. You know her by name, You formed her eyes when You formed her in her mother's womb, You know every detail of her cataract surgeries and the disappointment and fear that have followed. Lord we ask for Your mercy to flood her being with Your Spirit, the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead Romans 8:11. We ask that You would touch her left eye, restore the tissues and nerves and sight that You created, and make her whole again according to Your will. If it be Your will, we ask for complete restoration of her vision so that she may see clearly, walk in balance and safety, and again use her hands to sew and serve others for Your glory. We pray for her husband who loves her so faithfully, comfort his heart, lift his discouragement, and assure him that You hear every prayer he has prayed. Give them both patience, hope, and a deeper trust in Your goodness even in this valley. Give skill and discernment to the doctors and guide every decision for her care. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring her before the Lord daily, to also seek godly counsel and continued medical care, and to let the church elders pray over her as James instructs, the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. Keep thanking Him even in the waiting, keep sharing your honest heart with Him as the psalmists did, and cling to His promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6. We are continuing to pray with you that God will restore her sight and that His strength and joy will sustain you both, and that your testimony of His faithfulness will be a blessing to many.

We were so moved to read your love and concern for your wife, and how faithfully you have been praying for her these many months. Watching her go through two surgeries and still not being able to see from her left eye, and seeing how it has affected her balance and the sewing ministry she loves for her church and community, is a heavy burden to carry. It is understandable you are asking why God seems silent.

We want you to know we hear you, and more importantly, God hears you even when His answer feels delayed or unclear. That feeling of not being heard is painful and very common when we have prayed long and hard for someone we love. It does not mean your prayers are wasted.

As you continue to pray, we encourage you to stay closely connected with her eye doctors for ongoing follow up, and to ask them about any additional support for vision and balance while you wait. It can also help to let a trusted pastor or friend at church walk with you both in person, someone who can pray with you face to face and help with practical needs at home while her sight is limited.

Father, we lift this husband and his wife to You. You know her by name, You formed her, and You see her struggle to see and to steady herself each day. We ask for Your mercy and healing according to Your will, for wisdom for her doctors, and for comfort and strength for them both in this long waiting. Help them sense Your nearness and know their cries are heard. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your earnest cry for your wife has come before the Lord and before His people, and we join our hearts with yours in beseeching the Great Physician on her behalf. We have heard your burden for her left eye, after two surgeries and months of waiting, and for the loss she feels in not being able to see to walk in steadiness and to sew blankets for the church and for needy families as she once did so faithfully. We lift her before the Throne of Grace, that the Lord who formed her inward parts would lay His healing hand upon her and, if it be His gracious will, restore her sight fully.

You ask why it seems God does not hear after so many months of prayer. Take comfort and settle this in your mind, that though you should have seven years of unanswered prayer, yet you must not suggest any reason which would dishonor Him, but say with the Psalmist, But You are holy. Our God is holy and His ear is not heavy. Unanswered petitions are not unheard. God keeps a file for our prayers. They are not blown away by the wind, they are treasured in the King's archives. There is a registry in the court of Heaven where every prayer is recorded, and your sighs and tears are not fruitless.

Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial. God's long dated bills will be punctually honored. We must not suffer Satan to shake our confidence in the God of Truth by pointing to our unanswered prayers. At times the Lord exercises us by waiting, strengthening our muscles and sinews by the arduous exercise of unanswered prayer that we may be more useful in the future. At times He searches us, whether there be sin harbored or self reliance that tears the wheels from our prayer. Let us therefore come with humility of spirit, pleading His promises with fervent and earnest hearts, for the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. And remember that sincere prayer may often be very feeble to us, but it is always acceptable to God. He will hear the prayer of a staggering man at his wit's end, even when the petition seems to reel to and fro.

We know that in Christ there is abundance of healing power. Not only is His fruit sweet, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are in happy conjunction in His hand. Only you who have been healed can tell of the Good Physician's power, and He is still able to do what is impossible with men.

So let us pray together. O Lord, You have promised to hear when we cry, and we cry to You now for this dear sister. Have mercy upon her, O God. You formed her eyes and You know her frame. Look upon her affliction and the long months of darkness in one eye. If it please You, command light to return and make her whole, that she may see clearly and walk without fear and again use her hands in works of love for others. Yet not our will but Yours be done. Give to her husband and to her a steadfast faith that does not dishonor You in the waiting, and restore unto them the joy of Your salvation. Let them see Your hand, whether in sudden healing or in daily grace to endure. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and intercedes for us, and in whom every prayer is heard. Amen.

Continue to seek Him and to pour out your heart before Him. He who taught you to pray will also answer in His perfect wisdom and time.

We have heard your cry for your wife and we are joining you in prayer before the Lord for her.

We understand how heavy these months have been. To see her regain sight after the first cataract surgery and then lose it again, to go through a second surgery and still be without sight in her left eye, and to live for months with the doctors saying it may or may not return, is a deep trial. It is understandable that you feel weary and wonder why God seems not to hear after praying for so long. Please know that He does hear when His children cry out to Him. His answer is not always immediate or in the way we expect, but He hears every prayer offered through Jesus Christ.

Scripture shows us that blindness and bodily suffering in themselves are not the greatest evil, sin alone is, and that God who formed us and brought us into being has power both to allow such trials and to bring good from them and to heal. In the case of the man born blind, his blindness became the occasion for the glory of God to be revealed and for him to receive sight both outwardly and inwardly. In the same way, the Lord who formed your wife's inward parts and gave her two eyes at birth is able to restore her sight completely, for nothing is impossible for Him. His Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is able to flood her with life and healing.

We also hear your discouragement. Do not think your persistence in prayer is in vain. We all need prayer, both our own watchfulness and the prayers of our brothers and sisters, and God calls us to keep crying out for mercy with earnestness, asking for nothing but His mercy and help. That is the right way to pray, to come humbly and keep seeking Him.

Let us pray together now:

Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to You. You promised to hear when we cry, so we cry out to You for this dear sister. You formed her inward parts and You know her completely. We ask You to have mercy and to heal her left eye completely. Where doctors are uncertain, You are all powerful. Please restore her sight, give her back clear vision and balance for walking, and make her whole according to Your will. Fill her and her husband with Your Spirit, with peace and strength and renewed hope while they wait. Comfort them in this long delay and help them not to lose heart. If it is Your will, restore to her the ability to use her hands again to sew blankets for Your church and for those in need, as she did before, that Your love may be shown through her again. We trust Your goodness and Your timing, and we ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you both. Keep bringing this need to the Lord each day, keep trusting His care, and keep following the care of her doctors. The Lord is near to those who call on Him, and we ask Him to give you both His peace and to show His power and mercy in her life.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
