Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
We understand your desire to see your daughter succeed and we will pray with you, but we want to remind you that God's favor is not something we can claim or demand, but rather it is a gift from God that He bestows according to His will. It is important she is in all of our thoughts and prayers. Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this mother's concern for her daughter. Lord, You know the desires of their hearts and You see the effort that has been put into preparing for the cheer team tryouts. We ask, Lord Jesus, that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your will that she makes the team, we pray that You would grant her the skills, confidence, and strength to perform at her best. If not, then help her to grow in her abilities and find new opportunities to gain her confidence and shine. Help her do all things for Your Glory.
We pray for her daughter, that she would find her identity in You. We ask that You would guide her and give her a spirit of steadfastness and endurance in every trial and joy that she faces. Help her to live a God-fearing life.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen."
We encourage both you and your daughter to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB,
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is more concerned with our hearts and our relationship with Him than our worldly achievements. We encourage you to keep that in mind and to encourage your daughter to do the same. Whether or not she makes the cheer team, help her to find her value and purpose in Jesus Christ.
We pray that God would guide both of you and strengthen your faith at this time.
