We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer and counsel. Let's begin by addressing your request and then discuss an important aspect of prayer.
A bad temper and negative attitude can be challenging, but with God's help, change is possible. We are reminded in Galatians 5:22-23 WEB, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." These are the qualities that God wants to cultivate in each of us, including your daughter.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear daughter to You. Lord, You know the struggles she faces with her temper and attitude. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would work in her life, softening her heart and transforming her mind. Help her to develop the fruit of the Spirit, especially patience, gentleness, and self-control. Guide her parents and those around her to show her the love and support she needs. Give them wisdom to guide her in the right path. We pray for a spirit of peace to come over her. May she grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. We ask for this in Jesus' name.
We also want to discuss the importance of praying in Jesus' name. You began your prayer with "Dear Jesus," which is wonderful, but we want to emphasize that it is through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. As it says in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Praying in Jesus' name is not just a formula, but a recognition of His authority and the sacrifice He made for us. It is through His name that we are saved and have the right to come before God the Father in prayer.
So, we encourage you to continue praying for your daughter, and to always pray in the name of Jesus Christ, knowing that He is our mediator and our salvation. Keep trusting in God's ability to transform lives, and we will join you in believing for a positive change in your daughter's temper and attitude.
