Pray for my son

Disciple of Prayer
Please say a prayer for my 22 year old son Jacob. He is struggling bad with depression, anxiety, addiction and is so insecure about himself. He says he is all alone and has no friends and is too anxious to go out. He has never known what it's like to have a good friend in his life. He is trying to self medicate so he won't have anxiety anymore but it's killing him and his mind. Please pray and keep Jacob in your prayers. I pray he ask God for help and can have a restored mind and know what it's like to live a happy, sober life. Thank you.

We lift up ### to You, Heavenly Father, with heavy hearts, knowing the depth of his struggles with depression, anxiety, and addiction. Lord, You see his pain, his loneliness, and the weight he carries in his mind and spirit. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction that are gripping him, for we know that it is only through Your power that true freedom can be found. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We claim this promise over ###’s life, Father. Show him the way of escape from the cycle of self-medication that is destroying his mind and body.

Lord, we also pray for ###’s heart, that he would come to know the depth of Your love for him. He feels alone and without friends, but You are the Friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). Remind him that he is never alone, for You are with him always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). We ask that You would restore his mind, Lord, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and insecurity that has taken hold of him, and we declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14). Let him see himself through Your eyes, Lord, as a beloved child of God, worthy of love and belonging.

Father, we pray that ### would turn to You in his time of need. So often, we try to fix our problems on our own, but You invite us to come to You with our burdens (Matthew 11:28). We ask that You would soften his heart to seek You, to cry out to You, and to surrender his struggles at the foot of the cross. Your Word says in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We declare this over ###’s life, Lord. Give him hope for a future that is bright and filled with Your purpose.

We also pray for ###’s relationships, Father. Loneliness can be a heavy burden, but we know that You desire for him to experience fellowship with other believers. Surround him with godly friends who will encourage him, pray for him, and walk alongside him in his journey. Your Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." Lord, bring people into ###’s life who will reflect Your love and grace to him.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell ### he is unlovable, unwanted, or beyond hope. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that ###’s life is not over, Lord. There is hope, healing, and restoration available to him through the blood of Jesus Christ. We pray that he would come to know You personally, if he does not already, and that he would experience the transforming power of Your love. If he has not yet surrendered his life to You, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). Let him hear Your voice calling him, Lord, and respond in faith.

Father, we also lift up ###’s family to You. The pain of watching a loved one struggle is profound, and we ask that You would comfort and strengthen them as they support ###. Give them wisdom in how to love him well, patience in the waiting, and faith to trust in Your timing. Remind them that their prayers are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and that You are working even when they cannot see it.

Lord, we ask that You would break every stronghold in ###’s life, every lie, every addiction, every fear, and replace them with Your truth. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ died to give him. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Him who loved him (Romans 8:37), and that no weapon formed against him will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life over ###, Lord, and ask that You would restore his joy, his peace, and his purpose.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the One who has overcome the world (John 16:33). It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only through His sacrifice that ### can find true healing and redemption. We thank You for hearing our prayers, and we trust that You are at work in ###’s life, even now. May Your will be done in his life, and may he come to know the fullness of life that You have promised to those who love You. Amen.

To ###’s family, we want to encourage you to keep standing in faith, even when the road is long and difficult. Your prayers are not in vain, and God hears every cry of your heart. Continue to speak life and truth over ###, even when he cannot see it for himself. Surround yourselves with a community of believers who can support you and pray alongside you. Remember the words of Galatians 6:9, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." God is faithful, and He will not abandon ### or your family.

If ### is open to it, encourage him to seek biblical counseling or a support group for addiction and mental health, where he can find accountability and encouragement from others who have walked similar paths. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there are people who want to help him carry this load. Remind him that asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but of strength, and that God often works through the hands and feet of His people.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that healing is a journey, and it may not happen overnight. But God is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Keep trusting in Him, keep praying, and keep believing that ###’s story is not over. God has a plan and a purpose for his life, and we declare that He will bring it to pass.

We’re holding ### up before the Lord right now, asking for His healing touch to mend his broken heart and renew his mind. Father, we know the weight he’s carrying, the depression, the anxiety, the chains of addiction, feel so heavy to him, but we ask that You would break every stronghold and replace his despair with Your peace. Touch his body, mind, and spirit in a way only You can.

Lord, You see the loneliness he feels, the battle he’s fighting alone. We pray that he would feel Your presence like never before, that he’d know deep in his soul that he’s never truly alone. Open his eyes to see himself through Your eyes, loved, valued, and never forgotten. Remind him that You are the Friend who sticks closer than a brother, the One who walks with him through every storm.

Jesus, we also ask for wisdom for those around him. Give his family and friends the words to speak life into his heart, the strength to keep praying when it feels hard, and the patience to trust in Your timing. Surround him with believers who will lift him up, who will remind him that he’s not too far gone for Your grace. Help him take that first step toward healing, whether it’s reaching out to a trusted friend or seeking the help he needs.

Lord, we believe in miracles. We believe You can restore what’s been lost, heal what’s been broken, and turn his pain into purpose. May he find hope in You again, the kind of hope that doesn’t disappoint. In Your mighty name we pray these things.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in the gap for your precious son, ###. It has been on our hearts to lift him before the Lord, praying for His healing touch to break the chains of depression, anxiety, and addiction that have taken hold of his life. We have asked our Heavenly Father to surround ### with His love, peace, and comfort, reminding him that he is never alone, for God is always with him.

We have prayed for ###’s mind to be renewed and restored by the power of the Holy Spirit, that he may experience the joy and freedom that comes from walking in God’s perfect will. We have asked the Lord to bring godly friends and mentors into his life—people who will speak truth, encouragement, and hope into his heart. We have also prayed for wisdom and strength for you, as his mother, that you would be equipped to support him with love and patience as he walks this difficult path.

If the Lord has already moved in ###’s life in ways you’ve seen or felt, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a beacon of hope to others who are facing similar battles. If, however, the struggle continues and you don’t yet see the answers you’re longing for, please know that we are still here to stand with you. Post this request again, and we will continue to intercede on ###’s behalf, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His presence, peace, and provision as you seek Him together. We pray all these things in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus.
