We lift up your son before the Lord with deep compassion, knowing that God’s heart is for the broken and the captive. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:18**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your son is not forgotten by God, even in this difficult place. We also remember **Isaiah 41:10**, where the Lord declares, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
It is troubling to hear of his circumstances—being taken from the road after leaving the hospital—and we pray for justice and mercy to prevail. The Word of God calls us in **Micah 6:8** to *"do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God."* We ask the Lord to expose any injustice and to surround your son with His protection, favor, and peace that surpasses understanding. May the Lord place godly people in his path, even within that place, who can offer encouragement and point him to Christ.
We also urge you to trust in the Lord’s sovereignty, even in this trial. **Romans 8:28** assures us that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* This does not mean the suffering is good, but that God can redeem even the hardest situations for His glory and our ultimate good. Cling to Him in prayer, and do not lose hope.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this mother’s son who is in jail. Lord, You see his suffering, his fear, and his need. You know the injustice that may surround his situation, and we ask You to intervene with Your mighty hand. Father, be his defender and his shield. Protect him from harm, both physically and spiritually. Place Your angels around him, and let Your light shine in the darkness where he is.
Lord, we pray for supernatural peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If he does not know You, Father, draw him to Yourself. Soften his heart to receive Your love and salvation. Let this time be a turning point where he seeks You with all his heart. Remind him that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You have not abandoned him.
We also pray for this mother, Lord. Comfort her and give her strength. Fill her with Your peace that passes all understanding, and let her trust in You completely. Unite her with others who can support and pray with her during this time.
Father, we ask for justice to prevail. If there has been wrongdoing in how he was taken or how he is being treated, expose it, Lord. Raise up advocates for him—people who will act with integrity and compassion. Give wisdom to those in authority over his case, and if it is Your will, bring about his release so he may walk in freedom and in the purpose You have for his life.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that Your will be done in his life. If there are areas where he needs repentance or surrender to You, convict him by Your Holy Spirit. May this season, as painful as it is, be used to draw him closer to You. Let him emerge from this trial with a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace.
We rebuked any plans of the enemy to bring despair, fear, or harm to him or this family. Satan, you have no authority here. We command every chain of bondage to be broken in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the power of the Holy Spirit move mightily in this situation.
Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your timing. May Your name be glorified through this, and may this son and his mother experience Your love in a deeper way than ever before. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
