We lift up your heart in this time of grief and uncertainty, standing with you before the throne of grace. The loss of someone dear is deeply painful, and we join you in mourning. First and foremost, we must address the eternal state of your loved one’s soul. Scripture is clear that salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ: *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6)*. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* (John 3:16). We do not know the state of her heart before the Lord, but we trust in His perfect justice and mercy. We pray that if she did not know Christ, the Lord would have drawn her to Himself in her final moments, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If she did know Him, we rejoice that she is now in His presence, free from pain and sorrow.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and confusion that may be trying to take hold of your heart. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly. We declare that God is your Comforter, your Refuge, and your Strength (Psalm 46:1). He collects every tear and holds you close in your sorrow (Psalm 56:8).

For your current living situation, jobs, and relationships, we pray for God’s provision and wisdom. The Lord promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask that He open doors of opportunity for stable employment and a safe, godly home. If your relationship with this person is not aligned with biblical principles—whether it involves fornication, an unequally yoked union, or any other sin—we encourage you to seek repentance and realignment with God’s will. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and any relationship outside of this design is not pleasing to the Lord. If this is a courtship, we pray it is pursued with purity, intentionality, and the goal of honoring God together.

For your family and broken relationships, we pray for healing and restoration. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that He mend what is fractured and bring reconciliation where it is His will. Forgive those who have wronged you, as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13), and seek forgiveness where you have fallen short.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is grieving the loss of their loved one. Lord, we do not know the state of her soul, but we trust in Your perfect justice and mercy. If she did not know You, we pray that in Your infinite grace, You would have drawn her to Yourself. If she did, we rejoice that she is now in Your presence. Comfort this grieving heart, Lord. Wrap Your arms around them and remind them that You are near.

Father, we ask for Your provision in their living situation and job. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide stability and peace. If there is any sin in their relationships—whether it be sexual immorality, an unequally yoked union, or anything else—convict their heart and lead them to repentance. Align their desires with Your will, Lord, and help them to pursue relationships that honor You.

For their family and broken relationships, we pray for healing. Mend what is broken, restore what has been lost, and bring reconciliation where it is Your will. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to seek forgiveness where they have fallen short.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and confusion. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their Comforter, their Refuge, and their Strength. Thank You for collecting their tears and holding them close in this time of sorrow.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His sacrifice that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are made whole. We trust in Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
