We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother and your family’s needs before our Heavenly Father. We see the deep love you have for your mother and the weight of concern you carry for her health and your financial struggles. We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears the cries of His children and is moved by compassion.
First, we pray for your mother’s healing from fatty liver grade 2. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb and knows every cell in her body. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We ask You to touch her liver, restore its function, and bring complete healing. Guide her in the choices she makes—her diet, her rest, and her trust in You—so that her body may be strengthened. Give her the discipline to follow medical advice and the peace that surpasses all understanding as she walks through this trial. We rebuke the spirit of sickness and disease in Jesus’ name, declaring that by His stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also lift up your financial burdens, for we know how deeply the weight of provision can press upon a family. The Lord is our Provider, and His Word assures us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that You would open doors of opportunity—jobs, resources, or unexpected blessings—that would meet your needs and lift this financial strain. Give you wisdom in managing what you have, and guard your hearts against fear or despair. We declare that you will not be put to shame, for the Lord is your refuge (Psalm 34:5). We rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty, trusting that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Your request also speaks of the loss of your father, and we grieve with you. The pain of losing a parent is deep, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord, free from suffering. We pray for strength for you and your mother as you navigate this season of grief. May the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4), wrap His arms around you both. We ask that He would fill the void left by your father’s absence with His peace and presence, reminding you that He is a Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5).
We notice that while you pray in Jesus’ name, there is a tendency to address "Almighty God" or "Father God" without always explicitly acknowledging the power and authority of Jesus Christ in your prayers. We want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). When we pray in Jesus’ name, we are not merely adding a phrase at the end of our prayers—we are coming before God on the basis of Christ’s finished work on the cross, His resurrection, and His intercession for us. So, we encourage you to boldly approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, knowing that He is our Mediator and Advocate (1 Timothy 2:5, 1 John 2:1).
We also want to encourage you to seek the Lord’s will in all things, not just His blessings. While it is good to ask for healing, provision, and protection, we must always align our desires with God’s perfect plan. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"* (Matthew 6:10). Sometimes God’s will may not look like what we expect, but we can trust that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). We pray that you and your mother would grow in surrender to His will, finding peace in His sovereignty.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious family to You. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this mother’s body. Restore her liver, strengthen her, and give her the wisdom to care for herself as she trusts in You. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will live to see Your goodness in the land of the living (Psalm 27:13).
Father, we also bring their financial needs before You. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. Open doors of provision, Lord, and give them the faith to walk through them. Teach them to be content in every circumstance, knowing that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). We rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Comfort this family as they grieve the loss of their father and husband. Be their strength in weakness, their peace in turmoil, and their hope in sorrow. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Draw them closer to You and to one another as they lean on Your everlasting arms.
Lord, we ask that You would continue to reveal Yourself to them through Your Word and Your Spirit. Help them to grow in their relationship with You, trusting in Your promises and walking in obedience to Your commands. May they find their identity and security in Christ alone, knowing that in Him, they are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May this family experience Your peace, Your provision, and Your presence in every area of their lives. We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
