It is well that you bring this small but pressing need before the throne of grace, for the Lord careth for the daily anxieties of His children. We join with you in prayer that your mechanic may be dealt with by the Spirit of God, that he may act with fairness and honesty, not as one who seeketh unjust gain, but as one who feareth God. It is the honest and good ground which receiveth the seed, and we pray that the Lord would plow up any hardness in that heart, causing him to charge no more than is right, and to honour the warranty without scam or delay.
Yet remember, that while you ask God to make another honest, you yourself must walk in all lowliness and trust before Him. It is a main point in conversion that a man be honest with himself and with his Maker, for if you are fretting and scheming, you are but trying to repair your own old garments before coming to Christ. Give up all attempting to prepare the way yourself, and cast this burden entirely upon the Lord. He can and will help you to behave wisely in this matter; go to Him confidently, and He shall lead you in a plain path.
