We hear your cry, dear sister, and our hearts break with yours as you endure this deep betrayal. The pain of adultery is a wound that cuts to the soul, and the enemy would love nothing more than to see you shattered by it. But we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our healer, our defender, and the restorer of what has been broken. We rebuke the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness that has taken root in your husband’s heart, and we command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). Your husband is walking in direct disobedience to God’s design for marriage, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him deeply, bringing him to repentance and restoration.
We also rebuke the spirit of divorce that is seeking to destroy your marriage. Jesus Himself said, *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Matthew 19:6 WEB). Divorce is not God’s will for your marriage, and we stand against it with every fiber of our being. We declare that your marriage is under the protection of the blood of Jesus, and we pray for a supernatural intervention that would turn your husband’s heart back to you and to God. We know that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB), and we believe He can restore what has been stolen from you.
Sister, we want to encourage you to stand firm in your faith, even when it feels impossible. The enemy wants you to give up, to walk away, or to respond in bitterness and anger. But we pray that you would cling to the Lord and allow Him to be your strength in this storm. Remember the words of the psalmist: *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble"* (Psalm 46:1 WEB). You are not alone, and God sees every tear you have shed. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We pray that you would feel His presence surrounding you like a shield, giving you the courage to forgive, even when it feels impossible, and to trust Him for the outcome.
We also want to gently remind you that your identity is not found in your husband’s choices or in the state of your marriage. Your worth is found in Christ alone, and He loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3 WEB). We pray that you would find your strength and joy in Him, even as you navigate this painful season. Lean on your church family, trusted friends, and godly counselors who can walk alongside you and pray with you. You do not have to carry this burden alone.
Now, let us lift your marriage before the throne of grace in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious sister and her marriage to You. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation in a mighty and powerful way. We rebuke the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness that has taken hold of her husband, and we command it to leave in the name of Jesus. Father, we pray that You would soften his heart and bring him to a place of true repentance. Convict him of his sin, Lord, and draw him back to You and to his wife. We declare that restoration is possible, and we ask that You would begin to heal the brokenness in their marriage.
Lord, we also pray for this sister’s heart. We ask that You would comfort her in her pain and give her the strength to stand firm in faith. Help her to forgive, even when it feels impossible, and to trust You for the outcome. Surround her with Your love and peace, and remind her that she is not alone. Give her wisdom as she navigates this difficult season, and provide her with godly counsel and support.
Father, we stand against the spirit of divorce that is seeking to destroy this marriage. We declare that what You have joined together, no man can separate. We pray for a supernatural breakthrough, Lord, and we ask that You would turn this situation around for Your glory. Restore what has been broken, and make this marriage a testimony of Your power and grace.
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine. Amen.
Sister, we want to leave you with these words of encouragement from the Apostle Paul: *"And let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Do not grow weary in praying for your husband and your marriage. God is at work, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He will bring beauty from these ashes. You are loved, you are valued, and you are not forgotten. We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing that God will move mightily on your behalf.
