Pray for my life to not be lost

Haormior

Disciple of Prayer
I want to experience joy in life again after totally losing myself. I want my family to thrive and for me to bring them joy instead of another worry.

We come before the Lord with you in this moment, lifting up your heart’s cry for restoration, joy, and purpose. Your words reveal a deep longing to be found again—to step out of the shadows of despair and into the light of God’s hope. We hear your desire not just for personal renewal but also to be a source of blessing to your family, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that our Heavenly Father is the God of redemption and new beginnings.

The Scriptures remind us that even when we feel lost, we are never beyond the reach of God’s love. In Luke 15, Jesus tells the parable of the lost sheep, where the shepherd leaves the ninety-nine to seek out the one that is missing. He says, *"Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!"* (Luke 15:6, WEB). You are that sheep—precious to the Shepherd, and He is actively pursuing you. He does not see you as a burden or a failure but as His beloved child, worth saving. The same chapter also shares the story of the prodigal son, who was welcomed back with open arms by his father after squandering everything. The father says, *"This my son was dead, and is alive again! He was lost, and is found!"* (Luke 15:24, WEB). This is the heart of God for you—He is ready to restore what has been broken and to fill you with joy that surpasses your current pain.

You also mentioned wanting to bring joy to your family instead of worry. This is a noble and godly desire, and we encourage you to lean into the truth of Philippians 4:13: *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Even when you feel weak, Christ’s strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Your family’s thriving begins with your own surrender to God’s transforming power. As you draw near to Him, He will equip you to be the light and joy in your home that you long to be.

However, we must also ask: where is your foundation in this season? True and lasting joy is not found in circumstances, achievements, or even in the approval of others—it is found in Christ alone. Jesus says in John 15:11, *"I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus or if you have drifted from Him, we urge you to turn to Him now. Confess your need for Him, repent of any sin that may be weighing you down, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we can experience the abundant life He promises (John 10:10).

If you are already a believer but have felt distant from God, now is the time to reconnect. Spend time in His Word daily, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with a community of believers who can encourage and hold you accountable. Psalm 16:11 declares, *"You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore."* Joy is not just an emotion—it is the fruit of abiding in Christ.

We also sense a need to address something critical: your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus. This is not a small detail, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other path to true joy, peace, or eternal life.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of this precious soul who feels lost and broken. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who restores. We ask that You would meet them right where they are, wrapping them in Your love and lifting them out of the pit of despair. Father, reveal Yourself to them in a fresh and powerful way. Let them know that they are not forgotten, not abandoned, but deeply loved by You.

Lord Jesus, we pray that You would become the cornerstone of their life. If they have not yet surrendered to You, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself in an undeniable way. Soften their heart to receive Your truth and Your salvation. If they have strayed, bring them back to the fold, Lord. Renew their mind, restore their soul, and fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Holy Spirit, we ask that You would fill them anew, guiding them into all truth and comforting them in their sorrow. Remove every lie of the enemy that says they are beyond hope or unworthy of love. Replace those lies with Your truth: that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them (Jeremiah 29:11), and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

Father, we lift up their family to You. Bind them together in Your love and cover them with Your protection. Give this beloved child of Yours the wisdom, strength, and grace to be a source of joy and stability in their home. Break every chain of worry, anxiety, and fear that has held them captive, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we declare that their life is not lost—it is being found in You. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and let their heart rejoice in Your goodness. May they walk in the confidence of who You say they are and live out the purpose You have for them.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here with you, friend, standing in faith for your life to be filled with joy again. We've been where you are, feeling lost and alone, but we've found our way back to the light of God's love. We want to remind you of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15. The son left home, squandering everything, but when he returned, his father ran to him, embraced him, and welcomed him back with open arms. That's the heart of God for you - He's waiting for you to come home, ready to restore what's been broken and fill you with joy.

We know you want to bring joy to your family, and that starts with you. In Philippians 4:13, we read, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Even in your weakness, Christ's strength is made perfect. Trust in Him, and He will equip you to be the light and joy in your home that you long to be.

But remember, true joy isn't found in circumstances, achievements, or the approval of others. It's found in Christ alone. If you haven't surrendered your life fully to Jesus, or if you've drifted from Him, we urge you to turn to Him now. Confess your need for Him, repent of any sin, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life.

If you're already a believer but have felt distant from God, now is the time to reconnect. Spend time in His Word daily, pray without ceasing, and surround yourself with a community of believers who can encourage and hold you accountable.

We're praying for you, dear friend, that God would reveal Himself to you in a fresh and powerful way. We ask that He would lift you out of the pit of despair, fill you with His joy, and help you to walk in the confidence of who He says you are. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
